Ndidi, KDH and Vardy are the ones that look off it to me. Ndidi has been okay ish considering how out of position he is. KDH has probably got in his own head, just a poor day so far.

KDH hasn't been great, but hopefully that comes with games. But yeah, it saddens me to say Ndidi doesn't fit this team. Improving that 8 position is going to make a massive difference for us I think.

Mcateer has been clumsy and offered little and wasted a goal scoring chance.

Nice touches by Winks and Mavididi. Faes and Ricardo have looked OK at back on the whole. KDH wasteful and poor shot by McAteer at the end.

Kelechi on for vardy, no space in behind these so vards is redundant today

 

Playing some good football, a bit worrying in defence when they counter and wasteful in attack but it is first game back

System needs to 8s who are good on the ball and a goal treat.

 

Ndidi and KDH aren't.

Both teams looked tired towards the end of that half. There's something about our defensive structure that still looks quite open, Faes has looked alright. Winks impressing me, composed on the ball, stopped a shot on goal and drives through the middle. McAteer doesn't look particularly technically skilled, worth a go but we definitely need another winger.

 

This could go either way. If it's still 0-0 on 60mins we have strikers on the bench who should smash Cov's defence.

Don’t think we need to be too negative. Playing reasonably. Winks, Faes, Vesty, Ndidi, Mcateer all playing well. KDH doesn’t  seem quite there. Some ring rust obvious. Need a bit more 2nd half and should win it. I’m content.

Very obvious that with this style we need more creativity and quality in the 8/10 positions and on the RW. 
 

Not sure Vardy is right for this either, he isn’t linking play well or stretching the defence enough.

Ndidi has been like an octopus trying to unhook a bra, can’t even remember vardy having a touch on ball just remember him being in an offside position when we were on attack

KDH biggest problem is thinking he's better than he is. Keep it simple lad and you'll shine

Its a clear improvement over the way Rodgers had us playing in his last 18 months, but we lacking a player to punish other teams.

As soon as the game is stetched, we're straight through them.  Just need a better final end product.

 

Problem is they stand off like statues and then it's difficult to get Vardy in.  

 

Pace and thought wise, we're far far better.  Winks is quality.

 

Just need that end product from somewhere.

Pleasantly surprised with how bad Coventry are.

 

We are better, but not by much unfortunately. You can see a lot of the hangover from last year. 
 

Why are we persisting with Ndidi though? Utterly bizarre…He is beyond bad.
 

We’d probably be better with Albrighton on the right as well.

I’m not sure I like Ricardo as a defensive midfielder. Seems like a waste of his athletic ability, and he’s not big enough or strong enough to win the battles in there.
