Maybe he could have done better, but the real problem was how much there was for him to do in that second half. We lost complete control of that second half right from the off, and were completely battered all over the pitch.

What did he do wrong tonight?

Cross/shot that just went over everyone's head, he reacted how any keeper would.

Spilled a shot slightly that was smashed from 20 yards.

Neither goal was on him. 2 shots from close range giftwrapped by Vestergaard. If he saves either people are calling them worldies

Plenty of good saves in there as well.

Its like having to read Gary Nevilles thoughts.

If he can be improved on then that's fine, but the inevitable pile on is going to be unfair.

I agree with most of what you have said, but there is no way that first goal should go in at most levels in the football pyramid.

To think we had Iverson

We probably wouldn’t have dropped until last season or this if we’d just played him over Ward

Where was Thomas for the first goal; JV could have cleared better; "yes" he shouldn't get beaten on inside post but he's way down the pecking order on LCFC "sort it out" list

Second goal would have been imo

did v well to get a hand on it.  Fatawu and Janiick at fault

Can't believe im seeing some people prefer Begovic or Iversen?

Begovic was awful, especially against Sheffield united, so many missed saves and didn't come out for crosses.

Iversen would have been written off by our fans permanently if he made that mistake a few weeks ago in a leicester shirt.

Stolarczyk has been one of the best shot stoppers in the league and is excellent on crosses, we would be looking at relegation if we had Begovic starting instead.

He's had a good season but tonight he was awful. Played like he was pissed, started wasting time in the 1st half and just looked very nervous.

Good shot stopper but dodgy.

Poor for the first goal. Luke Thomas dug him out of punching that set piece Infront of his goal. Doesn't claim crosses or high balls

His distribution is terrible as well

Haven't watched the game, maybe he didn't have a good night but guess which keeper has the best prevented most goals out of all keepers in this division?

That'll be Jakub

  • Most Goals Prevented: Jakub Stolarczyk (Leicester City) has the highest "goals prevented" statistic, a metric that quantifies how many goals a goalkeeper has saved compared to the expected goals (xG) they faced.

I keep saying it (and the stats appear to back me up) but he is going to be an outstanding keeper.

Yeah but he was wank tonight

No chance, not saying it was his fault as the defending was awful (shock) but saving a near post header that wasn’t in top or bottom corner wouldn’t be a worldie

And yet without him we'd probably be in the relegation zone this season. Fans seem to forget the array of very good things he does. Needs to improve though as his weaknesses seem avoidable.

In my opinion, we need every point we can get and he’s made a few mistakes now. I’d probably be thinking about playing Begovic, or wouldn’t have taken him out after a few good games in the team.
