That Hull game is gonna p1ss me off all season. Everybody, absolutely everybody, was gearing up for between 8-11mins of added time (i wouldn't have expected it, but had all the time wasting been added, there'd have been 18 mins of stoppage time) . When 3 was held up, we lost a minute in disbelief.

I'd like to think we'd have scrambled an equaliser had we the full allotted second half minutes

It seems like when the opposition scores, it's almost a fluke. Contrast this to a year ago.

It's like one of those comedy mismatched fist fights. The little guy punches the big guy, he doesn't flinch but instead just has a wry smile whilst nodding approvingly at the little guys heart.

Before kicking 7 bells of sh*t out of them.

Fantastic result.

As a supporter, it’s a great feeling to not feel any concern even when going a goal down or struggling to break through.

The players have faith in the system and know that if they keep going the goals will come.

Beautiful to watch!

Surprised we didn't have a higher xG that 2.3, this was a game where it felt like we should have scored 5 or 6.

Swansea were pretty decent, but it makes a pleasant change to know that even when we are 1 down, we are still most likely going to win the game.

xG only measures shots, so for example the cross first half that Vardy is so close to poking in to an empty net is not registered as a shot.

Not even sure that xA picks up on that cross either as the pass wasn't received.

So that, to me, looks like an example how stats miss out on vital details.

Top 2 on last season = 58 more points (1.7 per game).

Top 6 on last season = 36 more points

(1.05 per game).
To survive = 12 more points.

(0.35 per game).

I would say we’re in a fairly good position (understatement). We’re practically already close to guaranteed a play off place I feel.

Because in the majority of cases it is. Look at the goals we've conceded in the league, they've either been a mistake from us, a deflection or a wonder goal. Ironically only Rotherham actually passed their way into us.

We are currently: 2.75 points per game that needs to significantly drop for us not to even be in the automatic promotion position even at this stage. 11 point cushion already. We are not going to be caught by any team in 3rd or below.

Low-key Rotherham are the side to actually have a game plan what worked. Hull second to that

I don't worry anymore when we go a goal down in the first half.

Such a different feeling to last season when you were waiting for it, then when it happened defeat felt completely inevitable

Didn't he also provide the delicious assist for the third goal?

He did indeed, but overall was his worst performance of the season for us.

Maresca has been clever moving him in to this role, it's easing the burden on his fragile body. I'd have subbed him though, but in the end it didn't cost us.

Great result, dominated the game. Some sloppy play at times but that's to be expected, hopefully the "injuries" are not serious. We really need to find a solution to really "click" in the final third. Relative to the quality we have and the quality of chances we create, we are still incredibly wasteful. I think in terms of conversion rate we are about 7th last time I checked. Would be really nice if we could bury these games before the 75 minute mark as we often enter the final 15 minutes with the opposition creating a few chances and often in a position to steal points from us.

In the end it's another great result and the best ever start in the championship :scarf:

We really are in the wrong league. Last year was clearly an aberration. We are miles above the standard in the championship. I think even with this roster we would be a mid level premier league team with Enzo leading us.

Let it go ;). Like I did when we lost that game against Arsenal in our Prem winning season . I only think of that about 4-5 times a week nowadays So I’m almost over it

Both those games changed our season, after the reverse at home Claudio changed the team around and dropped Schluup and DeLaet  and after the away game the team was inspired by that Arse photo of them celebrating the win in their dressing room.

Sometimes a timely defeat sets things in motion or adds momentum.

I'd say the defeats away at Arsenal and to Spurs in the FA Cup were both beneficial to our success that season.

I like the aggression I’m seeing where it’s needed - was my main takeout of that performance. Yes, we do the fantastic passing and keep the ball well, but when the game changes and gets a bit scrappy, we press really well and fight to win the ball back.

I love seeing the different modes we play in, and how comfortably we can switch between them.

Also, it was great how we responded to going one down. The total inverse to how things were under BR, where nothing seemed to change despite the fact we were suddenly sitting on 0 points. I’ve always believed that you should push for parity immediately in those situations, and not hope it all comes good after 70 minutes or something.

It’s nonsense.

The worst thing about being good in the Championship is how bad fans are in this division. People whinge about big 6 teams fans but I’ve read far more crap from Championship fans.

Perhaps when you’re completely outclassed you have to hang on to any shout for a penalty and the two half decent shots you’ve had. Seen some of them say they had the opportunities to get more. Well sure, we also had a bucketful to beat them by 6.

Common theme this season. Sounds a bit patronising but when you're used to this level of football then it's probably hard for them to understand how our style relies on letting teams come at us to create the space.

Yesterday they didn't have anything clear cut and all their attempts were from set pieces and long range. Even though they were decent efforts.

But the amount of openings we created, we yet again could have scored double. Quite easily. A lot of football is about luck. More than we like to admit compared to other sports. What Enzo's tactics do is reduce the chances of a worse team winning. Fans of other clubs just don't quite get it.

Leicester best team I've seen down here in a long while. Great going forward, loads of options, bit suspect at the back at times, especially the keeper but Swansea have played worse and got something

🤣

And getting untimely wins can keep little men in their jobs to the detriment of a club for years to come.

Spoke to a Swansea fan last night who said after Vardy got substituted he was sat in the bench telling to the home fans that they were crap.

Brilliant.

We're going to miss his wind ups when he retires. Just won't be the same

Has a sports supporter,married,single,otherwise..Playing oneself ( not seeing games live)..Following all sport what a Good,bad,ugly…..EOD happy it was yesterday. Because even 1-5 …Cricket,2 x LCFC, 2 x Rugby..We got an LCFC /English/Leicester a result &,just on Leicester city, we are more a relaxed group of souls…

Proving I suppose nothing more that our own shared , in heart & spirit >soccer<

(I am also fanatical with Tigers) club, turned a miserable day into a positive one.

Even to a point that upto Tuesday we can sit back relaxed, enjoying, either holiday,Breakfast, reading media, and that Monday morning, running the guantlet at work..And looking forward totally to be experiencing a shattered club´s rebuild, from a somewhat unexpectant approach..

Hurt over the other negative results, but for me ( rugby fan) ,I get over those, quickly WHEN…a new stamped, clothed, neat & tidy envied LCFC era is in the making…

I suppose through all caveats, and proud arrogance if Enzo side lost one-two games,we would still stay & be up-beat.

Add small rebirths, in Woman’s game, both Rugby Club & International levels,

Cricket though stays that unknown, because really we are being deflated, while expectation was the Peaking, at this time…A generation of top admired players ( now,at present) imploding,misfiring..

:dunno: Who cares our cosy LCFC,our own filled with foreigners & the all like

“My club“ are even taking themselves & fans,by storm..AGAIN.!!
