Popular Post Izzy Posted 2 February Popular Post Share Posted 2 February 1 hour ago, BKLFox said: TV presenter Jonnie Irwin has died aged 50. Irwin, who presented Channel 4's A Place in the Sun and the BBC's Escape to the Country, was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2020. Such a shame 50 no age and leaves a young family behind. He was always so chipper and full of enthusiasm on anything he presented. R.I.P Jonnie Jonnie was in the year below me at school and he lived down the road from my now wife. He was always destined to be on TV, he just had that 'x factor' about him. So sad. RIP Jonnie.
EastAnglianFox Posted 2 February Share Posted 2 February Cancer really just needs to fvck off Obviously didn’t know Jonnie Irwin at all, but for some reason it felt like I did. Followed him on his socials for a few years now(mainly down to being a big A Place in the Sun fanboy) and couldn’t get over how well he dealt with the terminal news. Just a couple of months ago he was looking so strong and much healthier, made you believe he really could beat it. Apologies for waffling, can’t even explain why it’s hit me like it has and understand I’m making no real sense right now. Rest in peace. 4
