So its ok West Brom  players can't finish there chances this isn't down to the manager in fact the manager is tactically astute ... but the games we had created chances that should of won us the game its not down to Enzo.

@Mickyblueeyes

Directly engage. Your replies to my argument don’t challenge it rather abuse it.

West Brom’s main striker was suspended today. They played a false 9 system and the manager shown willing to alter formation etc to create chances. Played a hybrid back four/five system what was interesting - had positives and negatives but they continually baited our midfield out of the press and then used the space which Winks departed in front of the back four.

Enzo by comparison in the games you mentioned has carried on the same tactics, and same player selections.  The quality of chances created against Millwall and Plymouth were pitiful compared to what WBA created today. I could use the example of Daka mind who clearly low on confidence headed wide from my cross v Millwall and was then selected v Plymouth to miss a variety of chances, some of which didn’t make the keepers gloves. Failure of Enzo’s management compared to Corberan using what he had - ironically the false 9 scored today.

That’s before we consider the respective quality of the opposition as well

@Mickyblueeyes

2 things.

1. I was criticising you for not explaining your point.

2. I’m admittedly a football snob this year and have paid little attention outside the top 3. So I don’t know why Coberan or others have been doing consistently enough to have an opinion. For us, on that point, if a manager keeps picking underperforming players and fails (in my opinion) to utilise a squad much deeper (my opinion), after a while that criticism falls on the manager. I can’t see how it can’t. For me that’s a genuine criticism of Enzo this year.

That is all well and good but every game is different, Enzo was well aware of how they play and even admitted after the game that he wasn't expecting them to line up how they did as that was only the 2nd time they had done so all season, so he is tactically aware of what's going on.

Yes they did well but I don't think they deserved to win and we took our chances unlike them this time around.

It's always going to be tough going to Millwall and Plymouth when they are fighting for survival, todays game was a different scenario and the pressure was on boiling point.

He also made changes by brining in Coady and Hamza which ultimately won us the game but nope Carlos is the more tactically aware manager.

I just dislike the abuse Enzo gets in his first season when we are sitting top of the league with 3 games to go.

You also dismissed the games when we was the better side created chances but the players have fluffed there lines instead blaming Enzo

I didn’t debate that.

I said that West Brom tactically played this game better. I said you can argue if they deserved anything.

I thought it was pretty even, they could have had a few goals but so could we.. I don't think they was that much better tbh.

There was also a lot more pressure on us than them so they could play freely.

Jesus Christ that last 10-15min was so fuching nerve wracking never been so happy to hear the final whistle, both teams missing their chances thank Fuch West Brom fluffed their shots on goal and there was quite some great defending at times to stop the onslaught can’t see why Enzo didn’t replace Vardy with cannon Daka has shown he’s not up to the job hopefully cannon will start on Tuesday !

Backs to the wall with 5 mins plus 6 added (where did that come from btw) didn’t really matter who was coming on to replace Vards, it was basically gonna be a striker chasing long punts.

Was it just me who heard boos for Daka when he came on? Thought that was a bit harsh

Being discussed on the Daka thread.

I didn't hear any boos from SK1 but if there was booing, maybe it was the WBA fans booing Vardy off?

Ahh yeah possibly but I was completely the opposite side of the ground and me and my brother both thought we heard it.
I will go to other thread though 👍

Hugely unconvincing but we're at a point where you just take the win by any means necessary. There is no excuse to not see this through.

West Brom were second best because they lost

Well I’ve watched the match, read the thread and it appears it’s just very difficult to climax when your only hard on is for bitter misery and anger.

Absolutely stumbling over the finish line, but I'll take it now. Big questions to answer over the Summer though.

I didn't watch the last 15/20 mins.

Felt it was inevitable that they'd equalise. Unbearable.

This club is not great for my health !

Never thought I'd be so bothered after our title win of 2015/16 & FA Cup win.

It just proves that you can't just let go, or not care too much.

I'd just like a few seasons of no dramas, no threat of relegation, or a sniff of success.......just a few boring, mid-table finishes.

Btw, any mentions so far for Mikey Johnston for them?

He was fantastic. Never heard.of him but got EFL player of the month in March, so today clearly wasn't a one off.

Was just about to mention this. Bizarrely he can’t get a game for Celtic.

Tore us to shreds today.

I don't know why people are even debating about wba, who gives a toss how many chances they had, we won that's all that matters, the same way that Leeds beat us, no one cares who played better, when you still get a win, its about time something went our way and feel this is turning point, would be great if leeds lost on Monday giving us the chance to get promotion done by Tuesday, it has a feeling of justice to it. It seems like we have come good when it matters most when others who thought they could out do us are faltering at the vital moment.

Must admit I’m baffled by Hamza’s selection as MOTM. He made 2 or 3 incredible goal line clearances which were obviously crucial. But his overall game was poor I thought. He frequently misplaced passes and was caught out of position. It’s not entirely his fault - he does not have the technical ability to play the Ricardo inverted full back role. Last 10 mins he was useful giving a bit of blood and thunder with the crunching tackles. But overall he is quite a limited player, particularly in the possession based system we play.
