Well Cooper certainly changed it up for that first half, some slick passing but also some dodgy moments trying to play out.

Excellent half, think we've played well, the system clearly suits the players and they are comfortable with it in possession. We just need to get better out of possession, JJ and Ricardo are getting burnt a bit, but I that is more to do with the defensive players not executing assignments, it's certainly higher risk football, but at home in games like this I much prefer it.

We're growing into a Premier league side. Ricardo in the middle gives Winks more space to play, and we have goals in us plus a keeper.

Really good. Proof that our best 11 has the ability to play wonderful football.

 

JJ has been honking but it's so nice to see a Winks/Ricardo double pivot with an actual number 10 in the side.

 

Some better decision making from the wingers and we would have created more, but we do not look like a newly promoted side at all

playing ok both our fullbacks have struggled with the pace of their wingers.

Decent 1st half, 1-1 is fair (ish) based on play but we should never have let them score. Rookie mistakes that shouldnt have happened.

Shame riccy is on a yellow as its taken out his defensive aggression but so much better on the ball with him in the team

Fats and jj need to wake up.

Forest create chances against any team but we've created, too.

Dropping Winks seems to have had the desired effect and upped his performance level, fair play Steve.

Not quite clicking yet, but there are signs this might work out in long run.

 

With this team / formation comparisons with last season will be inevitable, and I think we've looked more creative than in a number of first halves this season, but I don't understand why we keep going so narrow, trying to play it through the middles, when we've finally got decent options out wide on both flank.

Not a bad half. Awful goal to concede. Ricardo, Buonanotte and JJ all at fault. Fats off it at the moment. But some nice play. Great goal and Mads with brilliant save.

Don't think either side will be pleased defensively, but in terms of how the game is being played Nuno will be more annoyed I'd imagine

I like you I am guessing, is not a footballing hipster, Ricardo has done bugger all apart from lose the ball for the first goal, oh and hiding behind the Forest midfield to stop him having to  receive the ball. Maybe I just need to pay closer attention.

It really should be 1-2 to Forest - that one save from Mads was practically a 95% goal chance.

Poor goal to concede but overall better little to complain about, pick out strongest team and play on the front foot with high tempo football and we are a very decent side.
