They made about £35m on Kudus's book value, so even spending £35m on Todibo and £18m on Diouf, over 5 years thats around £11m a season for PSR.

Plenty left for Hermansen.

Exactly even if they spend £25m on Mads if they stick him on a 5 year deal it’s only £5m a season for PSR

Going to sound dim but is this amortising then? Which means we lose out by only

getting £5m per year?

No the buyer recognises the ‘fee’ over the period of the contract, the seller gets the full fee at the time of contract exchange.

Buying club can amortise but selling club book full profit or loss in the season/ year of the sale. Therefore we would show £20m + profit which we could then effectively go out and spend on 4 £25m players put them all on 5 year contracts and amortise at £5m a year and for PSR break even.

back in the team for the friendly, might see some progress now he's back fit

Wonder if West Ham want him to prove his fitness prior to deal or maybe we are playing a bit of hard ball to get our desired fee

Doing a lap of the stadium to applaud the fans, on his own, in a friendly… seemed like a goodbye to me

I wondered that too. Seems odd if not.

I wish Faes, Soumare, and Vesty would do the same.

And drag VK out the stand to do likewise

I actually thought Soumare had a decent game today, a few wayward passes, but better energy. He won't be allowed to stroll around with this manager.

I thought all he did was stroll around and pass simple passes backwards

Doesn’t make sense to give Mads the full 90mins if he’s definitely off. I reckon he’ll be in goal v Wednesday if the game goes ahead. The absence of Justin and the lack of game time for Ndidi is more telling for me.

My thinking is that prospective buyers wanted to make sure he was match fit before committing.

Him playing the 90 mins today should remove any doubt and I’m sure we’ll see him move in the next 24/48hrs.

What did he play for then? Not as if he is JV9 and gets a testimonial

I'd say to showcase him for any potential bidding war?

I won't be upset if he stayed but the cash is clearly needed.

I thought he and Vestergaard were poor even when we were dominant in the first half
