I can see it being 0-0 at half time with this place in full meltdown.

Finishing 1-0 or 2-0, but a far less convincing performance than some are predicting.

Abdul’s running wild today.

It is funny to say it’s typical Leicester to go out and lose today, but if we’ve got any aspirations to bounce straight back up, then this should be a fixture we put to bed in first gear, especially around their current situation too.

After watching the friendly last week and how Marti has got us to try and play, there is no way Wednesday will be able to handle us.

Even if/when we’ve got Soumare, Daka or Ayew on the pitch.

I dont think we should be overly worried about 35 year old Barry and his 4 goals and 5 assists from last season Bannan.

5-0 cruise and to the top of the league!

I mean it is yes, but this is more than what would constitute a siege mentality….. it’s downright demoralising…. I’d go as far as saying if we lost, it would probably a darker day than being relegated to league one, they’re in that much turmoil.

If we lose, it will be entirely our own fault!

Depends on the nature of the loss. A loss due to lack of effort would be a massive concern, a loss due to a deflection off a seagull, whilst not great, would not be quite so concerning.

If the players can resist the first pass out the back to Soumare who always blasts back no matter what and avoid Ayew in the build up then it flows better.

If Ayew just goal hangs and let the young players do their thing, they are looking to use their ability not cheat free kicks and slow it down in the half way line.

My main concern is still the same from last season as it hasn’t been addressed.  Zero press from the forwards, apart from Bilal who ends up getting booked.  The ease at which the opposition can walk through the midfield of Soumare and Skipp won’t go away just because we are in the Championship.

Do think we will win 4-0, 1-0 up in the first half and then the flood gates open from the 60th minute onwards.

Goals from Mavididi, Abdul*2 and Okoli (header).

If there was one thing I noticed in the Fiorentina game it was the high press involved in Marti’s style and a lot of the team where really on it.

Hopefully that will continue today.

Is their starting 11 actually that bad? We should still beat them comfortably based on everything that's gone on, but does feel like the biggest difference will come down to fitness and being able to bring on decent subs.

Loving all this early season optimism. Wish that I was young again.

I'm going for the more likely 1-1 with a late goal saving us a point. Havent shaken the dust off from last season yet but I'll be fully behind the new boss though

Any form of loss today would be completely unacceptable. This isn’t a simple siege mentality situation….. this is a club on its arse, who’s staff aren’t sure if they’re going to be paid or not, this is a club being forced to play academy players who aren’t ready because they don’t have enough players, this is a club who’s senior players they have available we’re not necessarily starting last season. This is a club that’s lost all of its attacking competency and hasn’t replaced it.

This isn’t a simple scenario of a club in the middle of an injury crises clubbing together, this is a case of a football club that may cease to exist if drastic action isn’t taken.

We need to turn up with the right mentality, and aim to tear them apart, I want no mercy, I want no feeling sorry for them or taking it easy, I want to see us try to score as many goals as possible, I want us to destroy them, humiliate them, go for records. We need to lay a marker down, we’ve endured probably the worst 12 months in this clubs modern history, we simply have to start well.

No compromising, nothing, let’s ****ing have them.

It’s sad when you fall so far that players that previously weren’t good enough become legitimate starters

It'll be a scrappy game- Wednesday will know that the crowd will start getting restless if they keep it tight for long enough.

Hopefully we score early, but I don't think it's going to be as easy as some are expecting.

I think I saw Ricardo wont be fit so I assume it will be

Stolarcyk

Hamza

Nelsen

Okoli

Thomas

Winks

Skipp

BEK

Mavididi

Fatawu

Ayew

Begovic

JJ

Faes

Vestergaard

Soumare

Monga

Mcateer

Alves

Daka

Just writing that down, its quite a strong squad for the championship, I'd prefer to have a proper striker, sell soumare and bring in someone like brownhill. But on paper its a decent start

As a fully committed crew-member of HMS Pi55 the League I have been getting really excited in anticipation of his match....until this morning.  Had been thinking "perfect opening against a side in total disarray".  Suddenly doubts are appearing.....what if we go 'all Leicester'.  What if we fail to score.  What if they breakaway, hit a hopeful shot, and Jakub fumbles it into the net.  Suddenly it's the worst possible opening match..... all eyes on it, and we go and blow it.

Nah, won't happen.....will it?

Can't wait, but will watch from behind the sofa!

As some others have said I dont think this will be easy at all

Is their starting 11 actually going to be that bad?

I think up until maybe the 60th minute its going to be quite tight, then you would think our fitness will tell and we should finish strongly

In an ideal world we get 2 goals within the first 15 minutes but I just cant see it

We will dominate the ball for the first 20 minutes and then they'll score with their first attack because someone outpaces Vestergaard. Then we will knock on the door without looking too threatening until a scrambled late equaliser.

Genuinely think this is either 10-0 or 0-1

Their starting 11 would be pretty poor regardless. I think it comes down to whether they actually care (which I don’t think they will).
