Deeg67 Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 FTR, he did play as a 10 occasionally for Leeds - 2 or 3 times. Certainly not his preferred position but he can provide cover at least.
Guest Bilo Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 Very good at the level and well-proven. I'd be interested in a part-ex deal with BEK going the other way if we can get in another CAM like Rego.
TommyK Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 Does the loan market close at a different time to the permanent window?

But there’s no place for virtue signalling in football from fans I agree. I was thinking the harmony of the squad (not that there's loads there anyway) being disrupted and the fact Hamza is probably vice captain now too when Ricky is out.

DLH Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 Monga can be Fatawu’s cover on the right (he’ll get enough minutes throughout the season). Solomon and Mavididi to compete for the left wing spot. Works for me. Especially if it’s a loan.
Brizzle Fox Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 Get this guy in and a striker along the lines of Ivanovic, and we'll be well set up going forward. Not too much to ask is it?
honeybradger Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 (edited) £60k a week, you could buy a talented footballer for his yearly wage which we would have to cover. Went missing against any decent championship side Leeds faced last season as well. No thanks. Just play Monga and Mavididi instead. Edited 29 August 2025 by honeybradger

Could you finance a talented footballer for £3m per season (psr element of fee + wages ) it depends what spurs would want as a loan fee. Could be that covering the wages would be enough for them. no idea about the ‘went missing’ part of your post as didn’t pay a lot of attention to championship football last season (was hard enough to bother with our campaign). Still not sure why we need another left winger unless the intention is to have Monga covering fats on the right now that KM has gone.

Have to say I've always rated him, but does feel like overload in that position.
sm1 Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 We have Mavs, Monga and Alves who play on the LW. The money can be better spent on a striker and CM. Also this has the potential to be another Dennis Wise, Callum Davidson situation. 1

Hope this happens, would be an improvement on Mavididi Didn't Mavididi score more than Soloman? Both are the sorts of player at this level that you know will win you matches, like Soloman, Stephy won us a lot of points with his goals and assists in important matches. 3
Jazzy_Jeff Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 Could the links to Solomon and Murphy be lazy journalism following the Mcateer sale? IMO we’re stacked in that position as it is - can only see someone coming in if someone else goes out. 1
Grebfromgrebland Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 We could do with 10 and a wide players to rotate. There's a space in the squad for him as can cover the wingers and Ayew.

Popular Post AKCJ Posted 29 August 2025 Popular Post Posted 29 August 2025 I'm not comfortable with signing him for reasons we're not allowed to discuss. Is he that much of an upgrade over our current wide options? Is it worth stunting Monga's play time? Not for me. 9
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 Won't come here when Hamza is so senior in the dressing room. Hopefully that doesn't get me put on the naughty step or trigger anyone too badly. 2

FoxyPalace.com Posted 29 August 2025 Posted 29 August 2025 Is it possible we are getting Solomon in to use Mavadidi as a striker ? 1
