LeePhilpottsBaldSpot Posted 14 April Posted 14 April The obvious answer is the right answer. Nigel Pearson with Wes Morgan as his assistant. 1 1

None have had the balls to drop them. Need a manager who can stand up to Top. Happy to take the hit if the little rat boy throw his toys out the pram because his mates is not playing. The club needs someone to get behind. Something we havent had for so long. And that guts come before any tactical ability they may have. It's whether they've had the balls or someone else is forcing selections.

Foxin_Mad Posted 14 April Posted 14 April Whilst Rudkin is here there is no way Pearson comes in. Pearson thinks Rudkin is a twat. Nige should have been the Director of football in a proper revamp, but instead we get this McCarron guy who I get the impression is just a Rudkin yes man.
Pliskin Posted 14 April Posted 14 April Andy King will be in charge initially. And then we will probably just leave it with him as we plummet int league 2.
J.Lisemore Posted 14 April Posted 14 April The thought of this board making a decision on our next manager in league one is actually terrifying. 4
lookwhaticando Posted 14 April Posted 14 April Remember back in about 2003, Luton Town did the whole Manager Idol thing. That.

They won't make the mistake of risking this again after Maresca. Bet they were so relieved when he left.

This'll rule Nigel Pearson out as well. Beyond sentiment I'm at a point where I would actually have him back and if people think as a League One club we're too good for that then they're in cuckoo land. There is no way they would go for him though. This McCarron seems a great fit for LCFC - underachieved, spent a lot of money and favours dreary, slow football. They're a match made in heaven. So I expect more of that. Edited 15 April by Dan
South Shire Fox Posted 15 April Posted 15 April (edited) Hopefully someone who has overseen rebuilds in lower divisions with success. Someone like Mark Robins if he became available. Wellens? Deffo look at bringing Pearson in as an advisor Edited 15 April by South Shire Fox

Tommy Fresh Posted 15 April Posted 15 April These guys had a decent manager in Brian Barry-Murphy in the building who could of had a full pre-season, so hard to trust them getting this right. 1
l444ry Posted 15 April Posted 15 April Can imagine all those bigwigs sat together trawling through all the stats looking for someone who fits the bill. Someone who advocates making six passes when one will do. It's in the stars.

RowlattsFox Posted 15 April Posted 15 April It has to be a relatively low cost gamble. I wouldn't say he's done enough for the job yet but I could get behind Fuchs. Needs to be someone the fans like straight away. We will spend far too long chasing people that don't want to do it or we can't pay enough though as always. 1

Whether he's good enough for the job is up for debate but it's an open goal for them to get Fuchs isn't it in terms of winning some fans over. Which is exactly why they won't do it
