Elliott Anderson is an absolute menace, his pressing ability is extraordinary.

Won't get carried away yet as we need to get the defence right, I think Guehi needs to start but then losing Stones experience is not an easy decision.

If Tuchel has somehow altered our default trait of fear then we could be one hell of a prospect.

Agree. There’s just no way we’d have played like we did last night under Southgate, especially given it was the first game of the group against arguably the best team we’ll play in the group.

Great to see.

Most importantly they took whatever Tuchel said at half time on board responding well putting in a decent performance which is a good sign .

Rather than sulked and not listened .

A couple of bits in the Panama v Ghana highlights which are hilarious. Three Panama woman who can’t understand why it’s not a goal after it hit the side netting. The Ghana keeper at the final whistle starts shithousing the Panama fans

I've underestimated Anderson's inclusion.

He was brilliant last night. Tuchel may have struck the balance right between the energy of Anderson and Rice just behind a dynamic Bellingham.

He is obviously a very good player but I really dislike him and I don’t know why 😂

Scored 100 against us and flattered to deceive for us, also plays for Spuds and there was a rivalry between him and Vardy during our PL title win. Lots of reasons why Leicester fans wouldn't take to him, I'm certainly not fond of him and not forgiven the France penalty miss. Need to see him stepping up in the KO games cause he's not a big game player.

I think Guehi & Stones might be the way to go, Konsa looked a bit iffy at times last night

The Ghanaian scored and ran to the far corner away from the bench.

The subs made it to him to celebrate before Ayew did, who was in that half at the time the goal went in...

Sums up our season

Yeah, I look at those 3 and i'm immediately filled with confidence. Pitch that against any nation and it runs them all close as being one of the strongest. Very few have a world class finisher up top either so we can be dangerous with the right resilience and mentality. Still requires so much good fortune too mind.

Thought there were more answers than questions on the whole last night but a really solid start all things considered.

I thought the left hand side was very weak and I thought Konsa looked like a rabbit in headlights.

For me Rashford and Guehi have to start against Ghana.

And wouldn't you just know. Absolute vacuum of a player.

He reminds me a lot of Kante, he can break up play and disrupt a side’s rhythm with ease. It’s just Ayew does it to his own team.

Only watched the first half (I had convinced myself I wouldn’t watch any to be fair) and wasn’t too impressed given the putting ourselves under pressure at the back. I also thought Madueke was wasteful when given the chance. Kane was good with his link up play. I guess it improved further second half anyway?

Good to see us score 4 though. It’s the first I have watched England at all since the final against Spain in 2024. Seems less names than in the past and more based on club performance? That said when was the last time we scored 4 and the scorers were all playing for major European team and not in the PL!
