Beat the league leaders.

Makes me wonder if we revert to 4 at the back against the “better” teams in the league or if we stick with this throughout the rest of the season

League tables tend to work the same regardless of standard.

100%

Bromley had 8 points before today's game. At 7.45pm, eight teams (a third of the league) were within 3 points of that.

Better late than never and credit for actually dropping the tippy tappy crap for a sensible pragmatic approach but any competent manager would have had us higher than we are doing just this. But, again, better late than never.

We’ve been dreadful.

The sign of a good manager is recognising and acknowledging when something isn’t working and changing it.

If he’s doing that, then it’s a move in the right direction. Long way to go, however tonight was better.

Two wins in two feels good. The thing is the last two victories are what we should be doing. There's a long, long way to go yet. This could be the start of a corner being turned - I hope it is because another managerial saga and more steps backwards before we go forwards just fills me with dread - but we've a while to go before we can say the corner has been turned.

The continual high press will get us caught out on the counter to better teams.

If were winning and the team have the ball in their own half let em, there not going anywhere

I feel like with the 3 we allow for a few of the mistakes that the likes of Thomas,Okoli and O’Hora will make. Better sides who try to bring the game to us have been beaten even during our shit period.

There’s a hell of a lot to work on but things look so much better than they did a week ago. It’s been so long since we had anything to be positive about so I’m clinging on to some hope he’s learned from the past. It still should be incredibly easy to get this squad promoted.

The thing that I like is that we have cbs that can win headers. We look better at defending set pieces and balls into the box and let’s face it, most teams in this division will pump it long.  If we can get that balance to work then it could be great.

the flaw however, is still Luke Thomas. I just can’t see him being consistently good going forward. He always seems to have a game like this before one where he looks like a Bambi on ice

My boss was telling me that he was watching Soccer Special last night and they had Billy Sharp covering our game. He couldn't believe that our game didn't finish 8-0, such was our dominance. It may come as surprise to some on here that Billy Sharp and the other pundits before the game were being very critical of Russell Martin and claimed that he has not been playing to our strengths and has been too glued to an ideology that has exposed our weaknesses.
