I think Chaplin is a good addition. Good player and decent character.

 

The likes of Cullen and Burns are absolutely useless though.

It was on his radio interview with Radio Leicester. The collision in the MK Dons game inflamed his previous knee problem. It was a bit of collision.

I find it difficult to write off players after a handful of games. Yes, they've not made the best of starts, but neither did Vardy. Luckily we persevered with him.

Vardy was stepping up 3 leagues and was several tiers lower than that just a few years before. No comparison.

 

Cullen has been awful so far. Burns had an absolute stinker against MK Dons but otherwise he's been ok

I really do wish people wouldn’t bring up Vardy in discussions to illustrate a point.

It’s the same lazy analogy as the Martin O’Neill “had a poor start”….. for every manager that loses their first few games.

I agree using Vardy as an analogy is somewhat obscure,  but my point is why do people write off players or managers after less than a  handful of games. Like I agreed, they've not made a brilliant start, but at least give new players some time to bed in. It's like those calling for RM to be sacked after 5 games -  give him time now the transfer window is closed to see if he can get us moving in the right direction. There have been those wanting our academy players to be given a chance and here is a manager who is doing so. I wasn't particularly happy with his appointment, but at least there looks new energy and commitment around the place at the moment.

He's just not going to play enough. 

 

When you buy a player injured and then he's subsequently injured you've only got yourself to blame. 

 

I can't see him starting more than 20 games

Burns did OK when he came on the other night. I think he'll be fine.

It's a recurrance of the same injury that kept him out of the pre-season games. Never heard exactly what it is but sounds like one of those annoying niggles rather than anything major. Must be hoping that it settles rather than any sort of surgery
