I'm completely comfortable with him. I hope it's him. I have absolutely no issues with any of the 'moral issues' which seem to surround him. I couldn't give a shiny shite, as long as he pumps zillions into us

He does not have to pump millions into the club just make us a well run club again. Hopefully back in the premiership in a few years time.

Dont need billions pumped in when signing up and coming players instead as they coming from a lower wage point.  Wage bill goes down whilst increasing hunger and quality.  We have forgotten how to sign gems from lower leagues.

Some signs the new man McCarron is going to mix up the transfer business. He seems a very positive addition.

We should nearly have the wage bill down to manageable levels. We should not be too far from being self funding, were it not for Seagrave we'd probably be pretty close.

I feel the same mate.  Think he would be pretty successful, as he would know how to ‘market’ us and hence increase revenue streams.

plus the £200m and debt is pocket money to him too!

Other thing is this could be done quick as he has already completed the EFL and IFR reviews. The issue will be does he understand the spending restrictions we currently face and is he patient to progress a 3-5 year plan.

What I heard & understood between the lines from the Neil lal guy was that the KP group have not fully disclosed all the books ie all the debt. Once that is fully known and wouldn’t surprise me we are in a sheet loads more trouble that’s all gonna drive the overall asking price way down. KP can’t hide things forever - it will all be revealed to a buyer if they’re serious. At that point KP have to be willing to negotiate otherwise prospective buyer/s will simply walk away.
I will be really surprised if there is a line of buyers out there otherwise this lal guy wouldn’t be jockeying himself in the media the way he is. It’s like he’s conveying to Top no one else is interested but them so negotiate or meet your doom.

bidding process is two stage

Tomorrow non binding bids sent to Citibank.

Serious offers will be moved to the next stage where the club may grant access of accounts with NDAs

He was a ****ing awful owner at Almeria. They got taken to court for unpaid transfer fees.

Happy “today’s the day where we find out we aren’t getting sold” day. Obviously that’s tongue in cheek, we aren’t going to hear anything today, but I think it’s going to be a struggle unless KP compromise hugely.

He does have a chance with Rudkin hanging around putting his oar in.

KP would likely buggar off a lot quicker if there were meaningful protests with large numbers

There is still a timescale that even KP or the new potential owners can’t rush and make shorter, EFL and the IFR still have to do their Due Diligence process which has a time limit of 90 days

The IFR has a 90 day the EFL do not publish a target metric at the moment I believe the IFR will not license until EFL approval has been given. This is what caused the Derby Al Türki bid to be withdrawn it was not finalized in time for him to influence the transfer window.

I don't think he's going anywhere without getting what he thinks the club is worth, rather than selling it for what he can realistically get - and I don't think any fan action or protests will make a blind bit of difference. Sheffield Weds were way more motivated and vocal than us, and Chansiri only went when admin eventually forced him out. Wouldn't be at all surprised if it goes the same way for us as it did for them. You'd think selling for a lower fee would be preferable to getting next to nothing for the club, but then we're not dealing with the brightest people here.

Possibly the best bet might be to bring in some additional investors ( should they exist) alongside KP . That way KP won’t have to book a large loss and someone interested in owning the club could influence the direction and strategy for improving the clubs position prior to a full takeover . Just a thought .

Doubtful. They just won't attend the games and leave things in the hands of their lawyers to sort out the sale.

You can also only move things along at a certain. Pace the only meaningful they could do is reduce the price but they seem to have interest at the current asking price so why would they?

Investors would need something in return, and this is where our plight gets tricky?  The fundamentals are so weak for it to work.

If they pump money in and dont get a majority shareholding, their cash is just going to fall into the wasteland pit of losses, and Top / Rudkin continue to do what they do. 'Influencing' sounds great if the majority owners have a tangible say, but we have seen how unwilling the management at the club are cooperate on anything, i just dont see it working.

If an investor gets a majority, whats left for Top and co to do? They just sit their losing money with less control. I suppose it would only work if the investors had a tangible link to either KP ot Tops family.

I really only see 100% buyout working. If we were in a stronger position I would assume split ownership had some legs, as the goal would be to propel the club further. Right now, its about rescuing the club and starting again.

Agreed - as you say you are just part funding a loss making machine, with no real influence unless you have 50%++ of voting rights. I can only see someone coming in who think they can get a steal, then try and pump some money in and get us back to the Prem and flog again when we get there - whilst improving the club (people, infrastructure, commercial opportunities) along the way. I'm PE biased as it's my neck of the woods but I wouldn't be surprised to see 1 or 2 bidding for this, if they can convince their investment committee it's a bargain.

Its a great story if someone can get it right. At the level of rich we are looking at we cost less than toys (Yachts, Helecopters) and there is massive kudos with pushing to get back to the PL.

But someone isnt going to want to do that with 40% of the club and Rudders handling day to day football stuff, and Top being on the end of the phone for any squad member who needs a favour.

Its a reset and go all in.

Yes you are correct

Anyone who knows anything about this process, would we hear anything next couple of days with regards to the deadline and any bids that may or may not have come in, or are we waiting for leaks etc in the weeks following?

Also, if someone did put in a bid, what would the timeline look like from that point to a purchase? Would we expect to hear something alluding to the sale prior etc?
