So what does Cullen do? What roles is he supposed to have? I couldn’t tell today

The way he constantly slotted in behind their players so there was zero chance we could even attempt to pass the ball to him was something I’ve never seen!

 

He simply didn’t want the ball at all and when we somehow managed to knock it past the player he was hiding behind he gave them it straight back! 

 

Swansea fans did say he would pop up with a few goals but offers very little else which had me expecting very little but he’s even surpassed that so far in the 3 games I’ve seen him!

Spoke to someone who worked with him at Swansea. Essentially he said he doesn't really do much until he does, referencing the strike against Northampton that was then ruled put. As he said he has no pace, no real strength but he will get a goal or assist out of nothing. 

 

The main bit he said, which has been previously referenced on here was that he is the ultimate professional. Will demand and drive standards and will give absolutely everything.

 

He has been pretty anonymous so far but equally we've been crying out for these kind of characters.

Can people stop saying “it’s been one game”, he’s a non eventful, non athletic luxury that we did not need.

Being a good character doesn't equal being an effective member of the team on the pitch.  As debuts go that was one of the worst I've seen in a long time. Offered absolutely nothing. the best thing he did was getting off the pitch quickly when he was subbed. Probably the quickest he moved all match.  Only the first game but hard to see what he will offer on the pitch. There's a reason teams are happy to let players like this leave as they offer very little apart from being decent chaps.
