Michael Moore's new Netflix documentary, Fahrenheit 11/9 (not to be confused with Fahrenheit 9/11).  Very worthwhile viewing.  For all the 'libertarians', 'centrists' or just plain old right wingers who see the director's name and get immediately turned off: He goes in hard on Obama, you'll enjoy it too.

Watched Sexy Beast last night.

I bought it a couple of months ago on iTunes..can’t believe I waited so long to watch it!

Ray Winstone is one of my all time favourite actors, but I’ve got to say, Ben Kingsley was outrageous!!! Filthy! I loved him in it. I may watch it again this week!!

Great film ...   but for me Winstone can only play Winstone whereas Kingsley is a brilliant actor ...   anyone who can play an evil vicious psychopath one minute and Gandhi the next is pretty damn good in my book ! ..     :)

That's a half baked trailer, doesn't get going until over half way through.  Pretty much like the last film, although tbf it never really got going at all.  My confidence on this last one being a success continues to diminish.

Oh and we have those fanstastic GoT writers to take us into the next trilogy of films.  The standard will continue to fall unfortunately.

Will be Interesting to see how these new Star Wars live action TV shows will end up. The Mandalorian looks decent enough from its trailer and Ewan McGregor has signed up to do an Obi-Wan series. Shame theres no launch date for the Disney+ streaming service in the UK yet which will show them all.

Yay, another streaming service to sign (or not) up to!

Don’t worry once this new Disney streaming service launches it’ll put Netflix out of business within a couple years. Netflix is absolutely on its arse at this point, pumping so much money into absolute crap

Return to the pirate bay is imminent.

One or two streaming services with some relatively reliable content was fine...ten or so with disparate content is unrealistic.

Also, watched a British flick the other day on Netflix called "Dead In A Week (Or Your Money Back)".

Quite enjoyable. Thought the premise was brilliant:

A suicidal young man pays an ageing hitman to do the job for him. But after a change of heart, the hitman is determined to see the contract through to keep his weekly quota up.

The execution (ha) was a bit disappointing for me; I've written a script with similar themes so I was excited to see how it went, but this felt underwritten as if the female character was just an after thought and the script as a whole was about 4 drafts from being excellent.

Still worth your time though as it's a deeply cynical comedy if you like that kind of thing. Tom Wilkinson and Christopher Ecclestone are in it.

Come on its stock is up 35% on last year, I wouldn't really say its on its arse. The releases in the pipeline (El Camino, The Irishman ) & series like Stranger things pulled in 26.6 million views in its opening weekend... Disney will have to go some to even get anywhere near Netflix.

Being Frank: The Chris Sievey Story

A documentary about the man behind Frank Sidebottom.  A funny, but also sad story of a man filled with so much creative energy trapped in a character with a paper mache head.

Thoroughly enjoyable.

You know it is.......it really is

Saw Lion King last night with the family. I'm not a musical fan, but it was watchable, and had funny moments. The fact though that everything on screen is computer generated is amazing. If you told me the landscape was actually real, I'd have believe you. Were they not talking you could believe the animals were real. Its amazing what can be done these days.
