I'm surprised they havent included a section on how West Ham are contenders for the Chanpions League after their draw at Old Trafford, not to mention banging on about them winning away to Liverpool for the billionth time

My auntie (from Leicester) is over from Italy this weekend. She says she can't pass someone in the street without them mentioning Leicester City.

Riyad Mahrez, Jamie Vardy and Danny Drinkwater will be wanted in January, says Paul Merson

**** off Merson!!!

Merson also said this six weeks ago, anything he says I'd take with a large pinch of salt as he's clueless. As if this was ever a possibility FFS.

Sunday supplement usual 3 statements

1. I predicted they would go down

2. Claudio hasn't changed much

3. Their squad is not big enough

I know I shouldn't watch it but my team is top of the league and I'd watch anything to do with football at the moment

I love this "their squad is not big enough" chat from the usual suspects.

Look at the benches United and City had yesterday:

United: Depay, Carrick, Romero, Young, Varela, Borthwick-Jackson, Pereira

City: Caballero, Navas, Clichy, Delph, Iheanacho, Garcia Alonso, Humphreys-Grant.

Our bench was Schwarzer, Benalouane, Wasyl, King, Okazaki, Schlupp, Inler. Kramaric not in the squad and Dyer ineligible.

I really don't think our "strength in depth" is an issue at all - we probably need a better backup than Schwarzer, another forward option and a right back and yes, if Kante or Mahrez or Vardy got injured there'd be a drop-off in quality but you could say the same for any team in the world.

Can't post the link but even Sunderland fans are rooting for us now!

Not surprising now they seem to be doing better. The bitterness has subsided.

Still hope they go down though

I totally agree, plus as you can see when even the so called top clubs get injuries to their best players they struggle. So for those calling us just a two man team I can go down each team in this division and take away the two best players from each and they all would find it difficult.

We have even won games without Mahrez this season, Mahrez picks up a knock we have Schlupp or Dyer to step in, aren't as good but both are still very capable and our game plan doesn't have to change. We are a threat still without Vardy and Mahrez but like every team we would be weaker but the good thing is we wouldn't have to change the way we play too much

The if their best players get injured argument is a ****ing shit one, Man City without Aguero and Kompany are average, Man U without...well they're average regardless and Liverpool struggle sans Coutinho and Sturridge, Tottenham are poor without Kane and Eriksen etc etc

Don't bother watching Sunday Supplement, Neil Ashton just tweeted this running order. Not a mention!

That's actually staggering. Top of the table in December and not even mentioned.

These pundits have been dining out on the same old guff for a few years now, with the way things have changed this season a lot of them have to belittle other teams because they truly know very little and they have to make themselves feel secure rather than actually doing their homework.

Of course Vardy, Mahrez and Drinkwater will be wanted men. They are three of the best players in the world at the minute. Got to be worth close to £100m between them surely.

Some of these so called experts really do need to learn their trade, we were not the worst team in the EPL last year there were 6 worse than us, factor in it took us about 3/4 of the season to find a formula to suit us and we should have been expected to at least match that. The media were happy to slaughter Pearson week in week out questioning his capabilities then show amazement when we parted. We strengthened the squad in the summer bringing in international club captains and experienced pros with the existing players having gained an invaluable EPL experience and an experienced manager with years of experience, we were only ever going to improve.

Don Ranieri has tinkered but only with the things that needed tinkering with and the fantastic infrastructure put in by Nigel Pearson has been kept, the fact we have sports science equipment the "big boys" don't shows we mean business. This thing about our best players wanting to move to the top teams fails to notice we are a top team but the lack of insight shown to our owners is unbelievable. If you can decide not to travel over to watch games in 1st class from Thailand but can afford £60 million to buy a personal Jet then pay an extra £20 million to get it early shows extreme wealth, if King Powers stock increased in the far East after the 5=3 vs Man Utd last season It must have been increased 10 fold and Leicester City are now a known club worldwide to anyone who follows football. This London biased media that thinks our top players are on about 15k a week are way off the mark. Most of our team are on decent term contracts and if needs be we have the owners and ambition to double or triple contracts if required, Jan will be about who we bring in not who we keep and would not swap our backroom staff and scouting set up with any club in the country.

Who would have thought last seasons player of thee season would not now get in the team or that our top scorer would struggle to get a game.

I've given up. MOTD Extra rivalled the usual rubbish dished up on the Sunday Supplement. They will never move beyond the press conferences of the big four or five to actually look in depth at what has/is happening here.

Far easier to go with the 'They ship a lot of goals/Pearson's Squad/Ranieri hasn't tinkered' when the truth is we stopped shipping goals at the rate we were doing 8 games ago when Claudio tinkered with the full backs, bringing in a player who arrived in the summer and one Pearson didn't really rate.

I don't know why you are all complaining that they aren't doing a load of analysis on us. That's for the opposition to do. Let's not make their job easier.

If you read the Daily Mail, there's an interesting article about Vardy's Father (who Vardy hasn't seen since he was a toddler), not knowing his son has broken a football record and applauded him at Swansea yesterday.

Think it was on page 23/24/25 of today's paper iirc.
