The "do they mean us?" thread

Recommended Posts

What is this "best team in the country" based on? Most wins- us. Most points- us. Fewest defeats- us. Goals for- equal. Goals against- Tottenham. They have the best defence at the moment- that's it.

Most passes in their own half a think.

Don't hate Spurs fans, feel sorry for them. It must be truly devastating to be such a massive club and to still be 5pts behind us.

Fancy a Bournmouth win next.

They'll be back behind Arsenal and Chelsea next season. You really have to feel for them.

Not being smug either as I don't know who will win the league, but like us it's probably their only realistic chance. They're just cracking it that their super trooper team will be undone by the love child of Steptoe, an Umpalumpa in midfield and the sudden emergence of the heir to Messi's throne.

That Dyer handball in the cup was an absolute farce. Mind you, the deluded Spuds twats on that forum would probably claim that getting Leicester knocked out of the cup was all part of the FA campaign to make us stronger in the league.

Jesus.

Depends if they bottle it and throw the Europa League tie against Dortmund.

If they bother trying this time and actually attempt to win the tie then you would fancy Bournemouth, but most likely they will stroll around with half a team out as they did in the first leg and then shrug off the inevitable defeat.

I can understand why they would do that, but I would have been pretty pissed off as a fan if I had paid to travel to Germany and see a game of football and ended up watching that shite served up last week.

Tbf I'd be pretty pissed off if I were a spurs fan, you wait years and years for a decent title challenge and when it comes along you get outdone in quite utterly bizarre circumstances. This is their year, and we are ruining it atm.

Still there are some utter clowns on there. Some of the reasons they have for disliking us are just bizarre, just be honest, you dislike us because we are 5 points ahead of you, that is that......

I'm enjoying it more now we are pissing people off.

To be fair if I'd have only watched our last couple of games id think we were the worst champions ever. But we've earnt the right due to our performances earlier on.

I'd get this "poor" thing if they were actually doing anything themselves recently. Narch and Newcastle both tried to make us play in a way we are unfamiliar with and yet we've still ground out six points, Watford away is tough yet we won, in all three games limiting our opponents chances and keeping three clean sheets, you don't concede you don't get beat, west brom was probably our best performance in recent weeks and we ironically only got a point from it.

Meanwhile, they were comprehensively beaten by a far better on the night West Ham side, allowed a 2-1 advantage, at Home, against 10 men, to slip through their fingers, needed to scramble back from a goal down to beat struggling Swansea, again at home, and managed to beat a villa side that threw its cards on the table about six weeks ago........perhaps they should have a look at the way their own team is playing.

End of argument. For anyone sane or rational.

It's quite simple for Spurs, if they want to win the title they need minimum of 80 points (the lowest points total to win the league in the last 10 years) if they carry on at their current rate they will get 73.5 points, which would have got them 4th last season. To get 80 they can afford to drop 2 points, that would still require us dropping 7)

They are 5 points up on last season, and 58 points from 30 games would have them 5th last season, their success (improving by 5 points this season on last season) is only a success relative to how poor Man U, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Man C have been. Any criticism of us for taking advantage of a "poor" league is doubly on them for being below us.

They are a traditional 5th placed team, and they have the points total of a traditionally third - fifth placed team.

2014/15 - 58 pts after 30 games = 5th

2013/14 - 58 pts after 30 games = 5th

2012/13 - 58 pts after 30 games = 3rd

2011/12 - 58 pts after 30 games = 3rd

2010/11 - 58 pts after 30 games = 3rd

2009/10 - 58 pts after 30 games = 4th

Spurs are just being a little less Spursy than usual, it is the other "big" clubs that are making us and Spurs look a lot better than our points tally traditionally would.

Exactly what I was about to post. Easy to see why some/most Arsenal/Tottenham fans dislike us.

This year they could've easily made ground and took the title for themselves but they're continuing to bottle it with ittle old Leicester are clear at the top of the pile..

Amazes me how many of our own fans get upset, what they read on other football forums.

We love it when it is positive, but die a death, when small factions, show neanderthal hate,

silly imature tribalism.Which lets be honest, some of our own pop up with infantile comments,

posting that they hate teams, because of maybe 5% of other clubs fans.

The PL teams, the Spurs, Leicester etc deserve more than this.

Teams like ourselves, Spurs, W.Ham, Southampton, and Bournemouth, are playing entertaining

football.

We dont need a league of club supporters, built on the minority spouting off their spitefull hate,

based on incompetent knowledge of other peoples lifes.

God what comes out of the London 3 clubs, proves that London cant be the financial base, of

the UK, if the majority of their fans sporn the garbage of their football forums.

Thank god we know , there are more decent fans in london, like elsewhere the so called

'Salt of the earth' who follow football.

Its Sport, its entertainment nothing more......

If Tottenham win the league from this position then hats off to them, they'll have deserved it and it will have meant they had a great run in. No arguments. I just hope they'd afford us the same sentiments if we do...

Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Crystal Palace:

http://www.holmesdale.net/page.php?id=106&tid=159075&page=4

Apparently our only decent players are Vardy and Mahrez, they counter attack better than we do and we've been lucky with injuries. You can do better than that Palace, not even a conspiracy theory in sight...

Yes there are some properly deluded posters there (as on most if not all football forums!) but I'd say more than few of them sound reasonable. Occasionally they even notice there are other decent players at Leicester besides Vardy and Mahrez. Take this one for instance:

kennybrowns leftfoot Online 1.gifMoved Again.. Banstead now Darling... Today 4.14pm

I'm sorry but I can't see us getting anything on Saturday. After our superb performance against Spurs in the Cup we all had this optimism going in to our next league game against West Brom and were 3-0 down within half hour.

Leicester are top for a reason... Because they are a bloody good side. Mahrez and Vardy get all the plaudits but to me their biggest threat is Drinkwater. The guy is a beast of a player. If we give him free reign then we will be bang in trouble.

Obviously I hope I'm wrong!!... But anyone who thinks Leicester are where they are because they have remained injury free needs to wake up. They are where they are because they have a top manager and play superb football. They are what we should aspire to.

No if they won it now it would have been us bottling it, not them deserving it. It's ours to lose now as far as I'm concerned (mathematically and on the pitch)

There's another hilariously bitter mail in Football365 again today. Usual mentions of luck, negative football and us not having several broken legs and missing heads like everyone else.

Marvellous, after reading this I checked them out for the first time since the mailbox after my rant got published and it's nice to see other Leicester fans have taken up the mantle of calling bullshit and the ed's still salty about me tearing into them judging by the opening line. :D
