Not going to Ipswich

http://www.greenun24.co.uk/ipswich-town/latest-news/transfer_latest_ipswich_town_will_not_renew_their_interest_in_paul_gallagher_1_1500000

IPSWICH Town will not renew their interest in Leicester City winger Paul Gallagher on transfer deadline day – despite the fact he could now be available on a free transfer.

The Blues enquired about the 26-year-old at the start of the summer, with manager Paul Jewell a big admirer of the set-piece specialist.

The Foxes are keen get Gallagher – one of their higher earners – off a spiralling wage bill. And with three years left on the player’s current deal, manager Nigel Pearson has steadily dropped his valuation from an initial £750,000.

A source close to the club has told the Green’Un that the Foxes may even let Gallagher go on a free transfer this afternoon, but we understand that Town are still put off by sizeable personal terms.

Fook me we must be in the shit if we're letting players go on free transfers. He had teams sniffing about for £500,000 not long ago. I wonder what wages he's on? Might be tearing his contract up as he's on something daft like £15,000 a week.

Looks like neither move is on

If it's NPs choice to allow other clubs to look at him, itn must be his new deal that's scared them off

Personally I think we need him, perfectly good to challenge Marshall & Knockaert if he was at full fitness, he also banged in more goals per game than Beckford, a striker who some people bizarrely want to keep.

Gallagher to Ipswich is off. I think it is what Stringer meant and not Huddersfield. Surprising that Pearson is prepared to let him go for free though.

Gallagher to Huddersfield off according to BBC web site (see Transfer Deadline Day LIve 1129 time)

These players love it here, tons of money and saturday afternoons off.. If they had any ambition to play they would hand in transfer requests..

EFFIN HELL. WE CAN'T WIN,

ONE MINUTE EVERYONE'S MOANING BECAUSE A MAX EXODUS IS RUMOURED, THE NEXT, A PLAYER WHO SCORED MORE GOALS PER GAME THAN A STRIKER, AND WHERE WE DON'T HAVE MUCH COVER LOOKS LIKE HE'S STAYING... AND PEOPLE STILL MOAN

WELCOME TO CITEH

Maybe we should allow Gallagher to play to his strength because you've got to admit he's shit hot at taking penalties. We should give dyer coaching lessons on the art of diving in the penalty box and in a game make dyer the target man, let him run straight at defences and give him strict instructions that under no circumstances is he allowed to pass the ball. This tactic

could totally revolutionise how we play football.

Gallagher getting an awfully hard time in here. I don't rate him that highly, he's replaceable and the footballing decision to move him on is ok with me, but I don't believe he didn't work hard, I believe he had a positive effect on morale, he chipped in with his share of goals, he had the mentality to take a brilliant penalty which was valuable, and above all I always believed he enjoyed playing here, at least until the cuntflap fans got on his back. I hope he gets a good move.
