I hope he signs. A good keeper who has a good rapport with the fans although I think some of the lads wouldn't be bothered if we was to leave....

Don't even think he's anywhere near his peak yet. Not irreplaceable of course but he's only gonna get better. I think he owes it to us to at least have a crack in the prem with us next season and if it goes tits up then yeah, it'll probably be best for both that he moves on.

Has the potential to become a club legend, always says how much he loves "working" here and has been speaking as if he's going to stay. I'm hoping that's not all a front. Wouldn't begrudge him a move to a team playing Europa League or higher but I'd be very disappointed should he move to another PL side that aren't in Europe.

Pretty much what I was going to say, put far more eloquently than I would have managed.

Heard some people say he's one of the poorer characters in the squad, difficult to believe but we don't know what he's like behind the scenes.

I've heard from someone who went on trial as a keeper that he knows how good he is and is a bit of a twat to the younger players. He was only their a few days though so don't know how much you can get from that. He also said Konchesky was a really nice guy and would talk to everyone including the youngsters.

He's got no chance of getting in their team ahead of Boruc who is a fantastic goalkeeper. Leaving to sit on the bench at Southampton would be a very sad state of affairs indeed.

I did notice Kasper didn't appear to be with the lads when they were watching the game that won us promotion.

That's because he doesn't live in Leicester and has a young family, which is also why he's not one of the 'party boys' in the squad, but to suggest he is not liked by the others is off the mark.

If the club offer a good deal he will stay, and if he leaves for a club like Southampton it would be safe to say the club haven't.

Trust me, it really isn't off the mark. This is coming from 4/5 different people in the club and someone that covers the club as well.

He couldn't get round Kingy's house to watch the results but he managed to get down to Leicester ok on the same day to go out with the team....

I'm not slagging him off, this is just what I've heard but when there's more than one saying similar things, well there's no smoke without fire.

I agree with you, kasper.

Even mardy bum Drinky was in Terrace with Kingy, Knocky, Birch etc after we won promotion. Didn't see Kasper. Strikes me as a serious guy who wants to make it to the very top. Probably extra drive due to who his dad is.

Kasper not being liked isn't really a big deal. Always going to be the odd person in a group of people who doesn't quite get along.

There appears to be a mutual respect when on the pitch, and that's the main thing.

Imagine we won't hear anything until after the internationals.

He does seem very serious, and that comment about Konch is true- he's a seriously nice guy.

However, positive group dynamics require people like Kasper, they keep you on your toes.

He's driven, that's for sure.

Southampton isn't a sideways step. Sorry.

Someone like West Brom would be a sideways step. Southampton are in a far better position than us at the minute.

Doesn't mean I wouldn't be disappointed to lose him to them when it was clubs like AC Milan supposedly interested though.

He gets off the team coach and never seems to blink an eye at the fans.

Have you seen some of the crowd who hang around waiting for the players to arrive - frankly I don't blame him !

"Kasper please sign this shirt for my son/uncle"

That make him a bad guy.

It is probably the way he approaches a game.

He was fine after the charlton game when my lad got his autograph on his sons shirt.

Happy smiling talking and having a laff.

He's 27 and has a family no wonder he was not on the piss with the 21 yr olds.

That don't make him the bad apple or anything.

Doesn't all this talk of kasper not fitting in with the "party boys" (didnt want to have to use that expression) kind of fall in line with the stereotype of goalkeepers being a bit odd anyway? Its a much more solitary roll than any other on the pitch.

Whenever I've seen him with the rest of the players they all seem to get on ok. Maybe he's not full lad, but not everyone can be really.

His relationship with the club and the fans seems fairly honest in my opinion. He travelled around quite a bit before coming to Leicester and i got the impression he wanted a bit of stability for a while. goalkeepers make names for themselves by serving clubs well for years on end not for having 1 or 2 good seasons.
