Captain... Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 We should totally sack Pearson for Schteve, yeah world class manager better than coco the clown.
BoyJones Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 It's news via Rob Dorsett, maybe he has got it right his time!!
Mark_w Posted 21 May 2015 Posted 21 May 2015 Think it's a stupid decision on their part if he has gone (and I'm not at all convinced he has).
yorkie1999 Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 It's all a ruse to deflect the attention and pressure away from the players so they can concentrate on getting results. Oh wait a minute..
The Doctor Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 Paul Clement replacing him apparently. Supposed to be a very good coach, would be a good replacement - they need Dave Jones or King Billy
AyewJoking Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 i remember when he was linked with the newcastle job only a few weeks ago and he turned it down to "finish the job" at direby
Guest ttfn Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 McClaren gave them their first competitive side for about 5 years. They'd be mental to have got rid of him
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 would be pretty ungrateful on DCFC's part, he was screwed by the injury to Martin - they'd have won the league if he stayed fit. Still, always happy to see the Sheep shag themselves. Good replacement lined up, mind.

Never managed a senior side though, seems a stab in the dark to me, given how close McClaren came this season it seems an odd decesion especially at Derby who often give their managers plenty of time.
Guest MattP Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 I'm not surprised to be honest, he has done a good job but that was some collapse last season, to lose 3-0 at home to a lower mid table team with nothing to play for when you only need a draw is absolutely shocking. Alarm bells must be ringing.

Alarm bells must be ringing. It's quite similar to what happened with us in 12/13 though. The only difference is we managed to scrape in the play-offs (which we lost) with a win at Forest and they had one more bad day and didn't. We stuck with Pearson and it paid off. They've been wank for years now, it would be a risk to get rid of him at this stage when largely they've made forward strides since he's been there.
Corky Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 Victim of his own improvement. For years under Clough they were happy with mid-table, not paying much and carping at other clubs that did, McClaren comes along, improves them drastically but couldn't quite get them promoted. The collapse was great but Schteve did very well to get them competing in the first place.

Dan Posted 22 May 2015 Posted 22 May 2015 To be fair since about January they've been even worse than they were under Clough. He's taken them forward overall but you've got to seriously question what went so wrong. People can point to Martin's goals but did Tom Ince not come in and bag 11 in 15 or something like that? Could've sworn Martin was back for their run-in as well.
Matt Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 So who does everyone want to win today? I do like the Championship playoff final, I like all the playoff finals but always look forward the Championship one imparticular. I want Middlesbrough to do it, not sure why, think they've been the better team out the two, but saying that with an eye one next season Premier League given Norwich have been there quite recently so my theory say Middlesbrough will be less equiped for the Prem therefore better for us .
Fox92 Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Prefer Middlesbrough although I'm not bothered too much, just want to watch a good game on the tele!
ScouseFox Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Hopefully boro do it. Probably like em more than Norwich and think they'd be less of a force next year.
Wymsey Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Middlesbrough. Not keen on Norwich boss, despite not knowing him well, seems to spit every time the camera is on him.
bovril Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 Not Norwich please. Every time they get promoted half of Norfolk packs away their red Liverpool or United kits and digs out the yellow and green scarves.
TheSomersetFox Posted 25 May 2015 Posted 25 May 2015 I wish these cvnts at Sky would stop saying THE RICHEST GAME IN FOOTBALL every time the fvcking game is mentioned. fvck off and shut up and die.
