Be alright if the two players we are getting in are Robben and Messi

I get the feeling some on here would still prefer Dyer and Fryatt.

unbelievable people get wound up and will argue with a  internet icon

Who is wound up?

Who is arguing?

I just agreed with Mrs J's comment.

Signing a new contract later today coz ITK

You got that from this tweet, don't even deny it! @RobTannerMerc: More good news for LCFC fans in tomorrow's Mercury regarding Nugent.

Great news. Think he'll be able to have a better crack at the prem than he could last time he was there.

We're now guaranteed at least one goal when we play Burnley now as well.

After watching last seasons DVD review it reminded me of just how important he was last season with all his goals and assists.

Would make my week this, if true.

Good news! Whether he's our starting striker or not this season, the squad would be weaker without him! The guy has plenty to prove in the Prem and I reckon he'll rise to it personally this time

The best decision for both parties. Would have been silly to have lost him over the length of a contract. He's only 29, it's not as if this is his last contract. It's possibly the last chance he'll have to play in the PL though. I don't see Nugent being much less effective in the PL to last season, he's not going to be hugely prolific from open play but I can see him pinching us some goals in tight games. He has won us a lot of points in his time here.

He got 6 in the Premier League last time he was with Burnley, confident he can get 10 which is the sort of return we should be looking at from our strikers.
