Saxondale Posted 26 February 2015 Posted 26 February 2015 Sort of a bit disappointed we haven't seen more of him this season. Hope this move goes well and that he develops.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 February 2015 Posted 26 February 2015 Pearson knows how he handling him - he's come on leaps and bounds under Nige although he's nowhere near the finished product. Brentford are a good club he's already familiar with, suits all parties.

MPH Posted 26 February 2015 Posted 26 February 2015 must ov fallen out with coco pearson !! he is our best defender by miles better than calamity !same old coco always playing his mates. You're a funny guy....
fuchsntf Posted 26 February 2015 Posted 26 February 2015 Hes the one players I would have never dropped. After xmas I would have had him taking responsibilities in defence, Morgan would have been sacrificed.Wasy and Moore my CBs.Then Huth and Moore. Though I now dont blame Pearson for trying both Huth and Upson, we should have shown a bit more respect and forced authority on Liam Moore,22 is a good age to learn and every CB needs responsibilty thrown at him. Its now inmaterial, other descisions have been made, so a loan deal is now the obvious. He would have been in my survival team, but I didnt see NP picking him, IMO we should have kept to him and shown him loyalty, which would have improved him has a player, because has shown Morgan, nor konch have shown they couldnt learn or progress. WASY for his age did learn and was flexable, he could of helped Liam on the pitch, Huth even Upson off the pitch. Moore non selection a big negative IMO for NP. Of course he made mistakes, then did Terry, Adams, Walsh, Cross, the great Bobby Moore, his namesake. Our NP hasnt noticed or seen that Morgan has lost it, and Moore should be the future.
BoyJones Posted 26 February 2015 Posted 26 February 2015 Liam needs to play and top end of the championship is I believe his current level. Pretty sure he will make the step up in due course, but he won't do that by just training and not playing. Good move for all concerned. Not sure when Brentford are next on the box, hopefully against Direby or Forest, worth a watch if Liam playing.
roger the dodger Posted 26 February 2015 Posted 26 February 2015 He's not currently better than Huth, Wasilewski or Upson. Therefore he needs to go out and get more first team experience. He's still young and got lots to learn playing centre back at first team level. anybodys better than upson !
m4DD0gg Posted 26 February 2015 Posted 26 February 2015 To be honest it would have been good to see him pair up with huth and/or upson. I feel he would gain far more experience playing with them than the static object that is morgan.
funkyrobot Posted 26 February 2015 Posted 26 February 2015 I like Moore, he's made some mistakes but haven't they all? Our central defence lacks a bit of pace without him as an option and I worry about the reliability of upson and the fallibility of Morgan and Simmo but at least he'll get some game time!
Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo Posted 26 February 2015 Posted 26 February 2015 He looks very pleased in this BFC report: http://www.brentfordfc.co.uk/news/article/liam-moore-leicester-city-to-brentford-loan-2297395.aspx To be fair, I can be over the moon but if a photographer asks me to smile then takes too long taking a photo, I have a look similar to that of a hungry man whose just had his dinner shat on by a neighbour's cat

This, how that Carthorse Upson is ahead of Moore,is beyond belief.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 26 February 2015 Posted 26 February 2015 I like him but he needed a spell out of the team and when recalled against Spurs in the cup, he gave away a penalty straight away. He's rightly behind Huth, Upson and Wasyl - we need that experience - and he's behind Morgan because the captain is one of the manager's undroppable favourites. He'll learn from this season, he's going to get some regular game time and I expect he'll be there or thereabouts in the first team on our likely return to the Championship next season. Remember that Wasyl kept him out for periods towards the end of last season. I clearly don't see this as the major deal that some others are making out.
Wasyls Pec Deck Posted 26 February 2015 Posted 26 February 2015 I remember one season on Champ Man I played Matt Heath up front as an emergency striker. He ended up scoring 25-30 goals - I thought the same would happen with Moore this season Seriously though, it will do him good. The seasons that he has started the season at CB he's faded away a little (this and last). Clearly a top of Championship standard player, but that's no offence at his age. Will make the step with us in future I'm sure. Brentford a good little club too...
Sol thewall Bamba Posted 26 February 2015 Posted 26 February 2015 This, how that Carthorse Upson is ahead of Moore,is beyond belief. He's played 2 and a half games and looked decent enough?
inckley fox Posted 26 February 2015 Posted 26 February 2015 He's played 2 and a half games and looked decent enough? Did you not see the Everton game? Upson, to me, looked like a 36 year old who has just recovered from a long-term injury, having not played at this level for three years. tbf whether you like it or not, or agree or not, we do have 4 centre halves ahead of him in the pecking order atm. so a loan is ideal. I think the concern would be that we are playing three CBs at the moment, and of our four options all are in their thirties, two of them in their mid-thirties, and two of them have just come back from long-term injuries. And we hardly look solid at the back. Add to that the fact that both of our RBs have been poor this season, and Moore can fill in there (in a defensive role, like the one our current first choice favours) and I think we're letting a useful player go. Of course a call-back option is useful, though I'd be worried if there's a 28-day period in which it doesn't apply. It's not unthinkable that we continue to play three CBs, and that two of them either continue to be abysmal or get injured again. Plus I'd really prefer our back-up players to be training alongside our first team players on a regular basis, just in case they need to come in as cover. I understand the logic in the move, but it has the potential to backfire in much the same way as Schlupp's trial at Manchester United in early 2013, during which our first choice LB became unavailable and we had to switch things around to cover for him.
Finn Claw II Posted 26 February 2015 Posted 26 February 2015 This is a combination of players getting better when: A - we are losing B - a player is out of the team C - he is one of our own Good move for Moore and hopefully us in the long-term Current foxes talk 11: Hamer Delaet, Moore, Was, Chiwell Albrighton, Hammond, koncky Vardy, Wood, Ulloa Not a bad team....
inckley fox Posted 26 February 2015 Posted 26 February 2015 Yay... another "Pearson only plays his mates" thread. Just what we needed, it had been literally minutes since the last one. The problem isn't that people keep saying it, but the reason why people keep saying it.
Swiss_tony Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 moore has dropped some clangers this season and been dropped. he's about the same ability as the others but lacking a little experience. going out on loan is good for him. next season he should do well in the championship.
Bourbon Fox Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 When I consider the few chances afforded to Knockaert, Albrighton, the (brief) dropping of Kramaric and Mahrez, the disappearance of Wood, the fact that Hammond can't get a look-in, the dropping of Hamer... while in contrast plenty of players have been given countless chances to show their worth (Vardy, King, Drinkwater, Morgan, De Laet, Konchesky, Simpson, Upson, Schwarzer, Schmeichel, even Nugent) - there seems to be an imbalance in Pearson's tolerance levels of certain players. This

But you are not 12 and have a man crush because he is one of our own. Some of us understood most of our squad would struggle this season and Liam was going to be one. Finish the season in a winning team and hope they make the play off's and go up. Will do him the world of good for next season whatever division we are in. Like a few have said no one was picking him in there team selection but him going on loan is a major crime. No him going on loan is No crime but it is another reason for the moaners to fvcking moan,
shen Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 The problem isn't that people keep saying it, but the reason why people keep saying it. Because it is 'trending', that's why. People imitate because the others do it. As Dan LCFC pointed out in another post, this argument is desperate. I particularly like how you yourself mention that Simpson and De Laet have had 'countless' chances. Basically you are saying that both our recognised right-backs have had a fair crack at it, yet you somehow contrive to turn that into criticism of Pearson and his 'favourites'?
Babylon Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 I've seen people team selections for coming games on here and social media sites they don't contain Moore yet people on here and social media moan when he gets sent out on loan - why? The second it was rumoured they were off Knockaert and him suddenly started appearing in everyone's team.
Babylon Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 The problem isn't that people keep saying it, but the reason why people keep saying it. Oh I know why people are saying it, I don't agree with them though. He plays the people he thinks are best based on not just 90 minutes during a game but on training etc. They don't like it, can't think rationally about it and decide it's Pearson playing his "mates" or "favourites".
David Hankey Posted 27 February 2015 Posted 27 February 2015 Several if not most players haven't been up to the mark this season and I'm surprised Pearson didn't realise this in the close season as there is a massive gulf between the Championship and Premier League. Perhaps this move will do Liam some good, at least he will be getting some games under his belt. Unfortunately relying on the old men of Huth & Upson and with Morgan having his best years behind him this is not the way forward. Our main problem this season has been the midfield. They have not provided a decent service to the forwards and because they have been under so much pressure this has caused problems at he back, something NP hasn't seemed to have realised.
