Richmondfox Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 Those of you criticising Schlupp for giving it away....his actual mistake was not going after it. Giving the ball away is part of playing attacking football. Jeff has to keep an edge to his game or he will cease to be a threat. His touch today has been reasonable, as it has most of the season (a definite improvement on last year at least). Jeff didn't give the ball away as he was trying to attack, he gifted it with his poor control.
LCFCFOX6190 Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 brilliant 1st half... then schlupp just goes and f***s it all up
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 You're all blaming Jeff, yeah he gave the ball away but with the half ticking down, why was the entire team completely out of shape? Not one defensive player was where they should of been when we gave the ball away, half way in to their half, wasn't entirely Jeffs fault, all our players have given the ball away in that half near enough, and rarely that far up the pitch. Freeman's Wharfer Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 Leave off Schlupp, he's been one of our better performers this season. Lack of quality/nous yet again though. Wes Morgan committing by throwing himself in taking himself out of the equation and Schwarzer scrambling round on the floor like a 70 year old who's just had his zimmer frame swiped from in front of him. SO FRUSTRATING.
Phube Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 Anyone know why Albrighton isn't featuring? His girlfriend's Tweet on 'that' Sunday??
Webbo Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 Schlupp made a tremendous balls up but he's been more effective than Mahrez. Schwartzer's had a good half.
Jakemoore Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 The half time whistle should have gone. But I'm clutching at straws... Schlupp gave the ball away and my god, schwazer was slow to get up and make a second save. It's a shame because we have defended very well so far. But maybe a more open game would suit us? Keep the faith...
Monsell1976 Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 Sigh , same shit different matchNegative football = negative results mate, do we think we are good enough to not concede for 90 minutes.

kingfox Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 If Hammond was playing they wouldn't have scored.
Unabomber Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 The big guy in net is playing well. How come we didn't get a pen? What is the feeling on here? I thought it was a deffo pen, he stopped him getting to the ball by putting his arm across his neck.
johnny the fox Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 Albrighton for Schlupp, oh hang on .... can't argue with that...says it all..
lcfcsnow Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 We were/are playing well and actually looked more dangerous than Man City up until the 47th minute. Bony should have scored before Silva did, lucky it's only 1.
bovril Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 To be fair there was about 9 or 10 players behind the ball when Schlupp lost the ball. Not all on him. Defending was woeful. Exactly. As the poster above said, you give the ball away when attacking. We should have dealt with it far better at the back.
LanguedocFox Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 Been watching on a live stream, and we looked really solid until the last minute. I think we can do this. OK, I'll get me coat.
filbertway Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 yeah im waiting for him to just ask huth to take goal kicks for him at this rate First time i've ever seen a one footed goalkeeper in the prem as well. So used to seeing a keeper comfortable kicking out with both feet, then seeing him smash two of Konch's back passes out for a throw was weird. Pasty1 Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 This outfit demolished Newcastle 5-0...... Tremendous work keeping it to one goal..... No alternative but to park the bus and hope we can get a point.... But we need to work hard and be lucky!!!
shen Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 Unlucky, we did not deserve to go in at half-time trailing the game. Feel sorry for Schlupp who's actually looked decent so far. In fact, most of the players have looked alright with James and Cambiasso impressing.
Stan Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 I thought Konchesky was at fault? He could have cleared or challenged for the ball after Schwarzers save but he just stood there ball watching. Like he was waiting for the ball to come to him. Cnut. Not the first time he has done that. WTF are you on about. Any excuse to blame Konchesky. deejdeej Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 Maybe in the game Stringer's commentating on. Not out of our depth in this match at all. Just a bad mistake againI meant this season in general.
dayday Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 I'm trying to remember a goal scored against us that was not an error on our behalf,I'm struggling.
Unabomber Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 What about that was great? If we're trying to kick the ball out of play every time we get possession then fair play. It was basically Schlupp, Mahrez and Kramaric vs the entire Man City side whenever we had the ball. No chance, just inviting pressure. You should've watched it, we played pretty well. lgfualol Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 I feel this game was going to either be 0-0 or 1/2/3/4/5/6-0 to Man city.
buzzy Posted 4 March 2015 Share Posted 4 March 2015 Are you drunk? accused of being negative coming to the Etihad to play one of the best teams in the world, incredible. What exactly would your alternative be that wouldn't see us get ripped a new arsehole and be embarrassed within 5 minutes? how the **** are we going to score with this formation if we dont attack we dont score thats football unless your watching a different sport. look at everton 1st half villa cup full game etc etc.
