Tuna Posted 9 December 2016 Share Posted 9 December 2016 No real club links but says he may leave in January according to an interview with The Fail http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-4015342/Leonardo-Ulloa-says-Leicester-need-work-harder-arrest-poor-form-admits-leave-club-January.html . How do we feel about that? Scored many important goals but not sure he's good enough anymore.
Royston. Posted 9 December 2016 Share Posted 9 December 2016 time to go, no point being 5th choice, making the odd cameo and often being expected to perform a role he isnt suited to. can go with his head held high and i'll be interested to see how well he does for another team in the premier league. TheUltimateWinner Posted 9 December 2016 Share Posted 9 December 2016 Feel sorry for him as he hasn't done much wrong, looked good when he came on in the week. With slim in it's always going to be either him or Ulloa as the big man and it's very hard to keep a 30M signing out the side. However Ulloa is our only striker to not start a game so you could argue he hasn't had a fair chance at all to prove his worth, especially when our other strikers are constantly misfiring. Bedford Fox Posted 9 December 2016 Share Posted 9 December 2016 SkySports saying the same thing. Don't blame him, Couldn't even get a start in the Porto Away team. Would be great signing for Championship side maybe even back to Brighton. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11712/10688561/leicester-striker-leonardo-ulloa-confirms-he-could-look-to-move-in-january
Clever Fox Posted 9 December 2016 Share Posted 9 December 2016 It's a pity because a younger Ulloa would be better than Silmani. But it is better he goes while we can get a return on him and get someone new in.
M0901 Posted 9 December 2016 Share Posted 9 December 2016 Will always love the bloke. Scored important goals and always put in a shift. Can definitely leave with his head held high, brilliant value for money.
shen Posted 9 December 2016 Share Posted 9 December 2016 Top professional, but he's a limited player. We are not set up to use his strengths well, so it makes sense to let him go now that we have an upgrade in Slimani who is better in the air and more mobile. He's been a good investment in hindsight even if it looked like he cost a ****ing fortune!
TMELcfc Posted 9 December 2016 Share Posted 9 December 2016 I stuck up for him when people slagged him off... But him and a few others who played Wednesday, couldn't have looked less interested if they tried, so time to go.
Ted Maul Posted 9 December 2016 Share Posted 9 December 2016 I'll be gutted if he leaves. But if he does, thanks for the memories Leo- you've scored plenty of important goals over the last couple of years. Bit of a legend, in my eyes. Still think he has plenty to offer. He came on at half time and was the only one putting himself about, winning headers, being a bit of a nuisance. Completely disagree with him 'not looking interested'. Deserves more of a chance than what he's getting at the moment, gets 5 minutes at the end of games if he's lucky and generally does quite well. frany104 Posted 9 December 2016 Share Posted 9 December 2016 How people can say Slimani is better in the air than Ulloa is criminal. I've not seen Slimani win a header since he signed. Ulloa is under rated and I will be sorry to see him go.
Arriba Los Zorros Posted 9 December 2016 Share Posted 9 December 2016 Shame to see him go if he does end up leaving. He's got a good attitude and think he's improved no end since he came here. If we do end up going down to the Championship he's someone we'd definitely want to keep a hold of
Chocolate Teapot Posted 9 December 2016 Share Posted 9 December 2016 Great bloke and a great character. I'll miss him if he goes, he was immense last year when called upon, the games against Norwich, West Ham and Swansea in particular. He's a better player than Musa really, and great to bring on if you're defending a lead as he holds the ball up so well - we don't have the lead very often to defend now though so may be surplus to requirements. Bob Hazels shorts Posted 9 December 2016 Share Posted 9 December 2016 I feel relieved when he comes off the bench and actually rate the guy, I think him and his style of play make a positive difference. Slimani is possibly at better player but is too much like Vardy. Team needs a smudger Smith as with Lineker, Ulloa's the nearest we have.
Ashley Posted 9 December 2016 Share Posted 9 December 2016 I very much doubt he will go in January, the summer yes.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 9 December 2016 Share Posted 9 December 2016 I've always rated Ulloa. He's got a great attitude and with regular game time he's a goalscorer. Like Slimani, he does have that instinctiveness in the box, he knows where to position himself and over the two years at the club he's been vital, scoring many important goals. I will be honest, if utilised to his strengths and plays in a system that works, I can see him netting 10+ goals a season in the Premier League with another team - even more than that in the Championship I'd say. On average Slim wins 3 headers a game according to the stats so he can win them, but I think he always tries to bring the ball down and make a pass instead. Maybe because in his career he has always played as the main striker.
StriderHiryu Posted 9 December 2016 Share Posted 9 December 2016 He will go and honestly for his own good he should. He's good enough to be first choice for someone and was a cult hero in our great escape season. A model pro!
