Dan Posted 7 April 2016 Posted 7 April 2016 Whether you think hitting the wood work is lucky or not this is interesting for all the Spurs fans calling Leicester lucky. Not a pop at you in the slightest but these sorts of things are created not for trivia matters like they should be, but so desperate fans of clubs like Arsenal and Spurs can cling onto something and claim they were "unlucky" in some way. It's like these weapons who create the "where would Leicester be in the table without Vardy & Mahrez" graphs as if they actually bear any relevance to anything.

I just thought it was funny Spurs dropped just as many points as us.. it's very trivial you are right.

Haha yeah I suppose they'll have to find another one. Arsenal hitting it most in the league is funny. You just know there are some Arsenal fans out there who are feeling robbed by that as if hitting the woodwork isn't a shot off target.
ealingfox Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 BBC pundits pick POTY shortlist - http://m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35980893 No surprises the bitters (Lawro, Chris Sutton and Danny Mills) have gone with shit shouts but its mostly Mahrez. Waddle putting Willian in
AKCJ Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 Obviously Mahrez should, and will, win it.. How can Kane be player of the season? He did **** all in the first 10 games.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 Gwon Claudio lad https://twitter.com/LCFC/status/718308022251102209 Well deserved
Babylon Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 The calls for Kane and Payet really piss me off. Both brilliant players, but it should be based on all round contribution surely, not just the fact he scores the most goals. Mahrez and Vardy both score and assist and that should give them the edge. Payet is great, but he missed a huge chunk of the season, so how can you really be player of the year? Yes he's scored a couple of spectacular free kicks... but he's miles behind Mahrez in terms of goals and assists, so I just don't get that call. But, I suppose as with all these things it's picked by people who just see highlights. That will be shown I'm sure by the fact Kante will win our player of the year, whilst Mahrez walks away with the one voted by the whole league.
masterg59 Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 whats with Pat Nevin N'Golo Kante (Arsenal) Muppet changed it now
Koke Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 I think Mahrez should win it but I have no problem with Kane winning it. He's been class. Payet has missed a chunk of the season unfortunately so he's further down the list for me.
Staffs Fox Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 I think Mahrez will win it but you can't begrudge people voting for Kane, he's been just as important to Spurs as Mahrez/Vardy have been to us, 22 goals and counting is a great achievement but Mahrez has been on a level above
Bryn Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 Knowing how the wider footballing community, who don't watch every minute of our games, vote, it has to be Mahrez. But Riyad would be behind Vardy, Morgan and Kante for our awards for me.
ajthefox Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 It's madness that we've got two players that have scored 35 between them and many of us would still not consider them POTY.
AKCJ Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 This will no doubt be the cheapest team of the season ever.
lgfualol Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 Got to be Mahrez. All those goals and assists and dazzling displays on the ball. Played pretty much every game too.
filbertstreet Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 hope mahrez wins, it'll drive his price up even more so no-one can afford him
ARM1968 Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 Mahrez with ease, but could just as easily be Kante or Vardy. Kane with a shout. Payet has been awesome but not in the same bracket really. Certainly not in terms of goals and assists - my god though can he hit a free kick.
kingfox Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 Jordan Henderson out for the rest of the season and could miss the Euros. Get the fvck in
Steven Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 Jordan Henderson out for the rest of the season and could miss the Euros. Get the fvck in I would rather Woy could see the merit in Drinky rather than Drinky getting in due to someone else's misfortune.
shen Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 I would rather Woy could see the merit in Drinky rather than Drinky getting in due to someone else's misfortune. Well, he needs to play to convince Hodgson, and with Henderson injured his chances of playing increase

My guess is it's because we have Vardy AND Mahrez producing the goods and stood out, while Kane and Payet respecitvely 'appear' to carry their teams on their own, hence them looking more important/better individually.
foxes161 Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 Jordan Henderson out for the rest of the season and could miss the Euros. Get the fvck in As an England fan though it's hardly something to be cheering,
foxes_rule1978 Posted 8 April 2016 Posted 8 April 2016 As an England fan though it's hardly something to be cheering, I'm cheering... why wouldn't I? he has never been good for England rather drinkwater please
