MPH Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 King is a much quicker thinker, Inler takes too much time to decide what to do with the ball which is fine in a passing/possession team something we're currently not although who knows we may move towards that more in the future if we lose both Mahrez and Vardy. Can't say i blame Inler - he has spent his entire career pretty much playing in Ital.. a very slow league and Kingy has spent his in England. But there WILL come a time when we will expect Inler to make that transition.. and for some people that time might start to wear thing pretty sharpish. Not for me though...
Guest Col city fan Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 Id rather stick to the formation that has been successful for us through the season, rather than change it to fit a signing that hasn't. Oh yeah, same here. Wonder what Ranieri will do for this one?

Quite right, he's had what, under 90 mins in the prem and 2 league cup games so far? How you can judge someone on that evidence is borderline stupid, to even have an impression of his talent in a Leicester shirt at this stage is difficult to assess, never mind writing him off or saying he needs to be starting etc.
HighPeakFox Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 I mistakenly thought this was a thread about Inler. How silly of me.....
filbertstreet Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 I mistakenly thought this was a thread about Inler. How silly of me..... Don't hate on the Kingler thread
Richard Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 He'll at least get a run-out - it's rare both our CMs make it through a full 90 all the running they do
The Guvnor Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 I still can't understand how he received plaudits for his cameo against Chelsea, if he did anything well I must have missed it, it's almost like he hasn't made any major f^ck ups so we breathe a sigh of relief and start singing his praises. If he does play against Everton and plays a blinder I will be the first to admit I was wrong, I am not saying he's a poor player, but what I have seen of him in our team it hasn't worked.
jellylegline Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 As Bernie once said.......Andy King is our King
MPH Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 As Bernie once said.......Andy King is our King Wrong!!!! He said " Andy is our King "
jellylegline Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 Wrong!!!! He said " Andy is our King " I dont know google translate..........useless...
NewEnglandFox Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 Inler isn't good for the fast break, they said. https://streamable.com/qs53
lgfualol Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 I can't even remember King playing on Monday. I remember Inler because when he came on I was keeping an eye out on everything he did to see if he's settled in more, not sure about anyone else. He'll get to play either boxing day or the 28th, I can't imagine we'll have both King and Kante do both games.
leftbackinthechangingroom Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 I dont know google translate..........useless... Google can translate Bernie? What a time to be alive...
TheUltimateWinner Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 He had a proper schlupp moment when he first came on, under no pressure just booted it out for a throw, top banter.
deep blue Posted 16 December 2015 Posted 16 December 2015 If we play Inler against Everton, I'd protect him in a three man central midfield. This would give him time on the ball to control the central area. With the pace and quick breaking of Everton I wouldn't have him in a 442 personally. Yes, exactly what I was thinking. 3 in midfield might not be a bad idea, anyway, to try and stifle Everton's fast attacking.
ScouseFox Posted 17 December 2015 Posted 17 December 2015 ive got no idea why we'd suddenly change the formation and style of play that has taken us from relegation certainties to probably league champions.
EnglishOxide Posted 17 December 2015 Posted 17 December 2015 I for one, hope that Ranieri suprises us all and announces James is ready to play! He is Drinkwaters like for like replacement IMO.
americanfox Posted 17 December 2015 Posted 17 December 2015 Inler isn't good for the fast break, they said. https://streamable.com/qs53 I think his positional sense for this team still needs a ton of work, but he can't fully get there without actual match minutes. Got better and more assured as time passed in his 12-13 mins. Pace wise, he seemed fine and had a few sprints where he looked just fine.
weller54 Posted 17 December 2015 Posted 17 December 2015 I for one, hope that Ranieri suprises us all and announces James is ready to play! He is Drinkwaters like for like replacement IMO. More chance of Rachel playing!!
Ric Flair Posted 17 December 2015 Posted 17 December 2015 King was class vs Chelsea, the work he did for Mahrez's goal was very telling, he comes in with minimal fuss and never let's us down. He's got to have the shirt if fit on saturday and it's down to Inler to come on and impress further before getting the nod from the start.

filbertway Posted 17 December 2015 Posted 17 December 2015 ive got no idea why we'd suddenly change the formation and style of play that has taken us from relegation certainties to probably league champions. Probably? What's caused the loss in confidence man? I know this isn't the Everton thread but I really want Saturday to hurry up. Whoever plays will be free to do what they want as Kanté will have Barry, Mcarther and Barkley covered.
coolhandfox Posted 17 December 2015 Posted 17 December 2015 King played a key part in our great run last season, he should be next in line. Inler will play his part over the busy Xmas and January period
Dickov22 Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 King was involved plenty my only memories of Inler's contribution was two misplaced passes and one dangerously short pass Well said. King did very well (as usual)
ranieri99 Posted 18 December 2015 Posted 18 December 2015 King should start I believe and inler on as sub second half
