Inler

Played pretty well tonight for me. can't really see him forcing his way past drinky and kante in our 4-4-2 but if he's happy to stay as a bit-part player then brilliant, he's definitely got quality. Areas still need improving but he played his part for us tonight.

Didn't think he was at all as bad as a lot are saying. Few silly fouls and caught on the ball once or twice but didn't look out of place imo, only our 4th game for us against a team like City, far too early to write him off I would say, but hey ho knee jerk reactions aren't exactly uncommon in these parts.

When he tried to dribble it about 15 yards in the 2nd half and got out-muscled and dispossessed summed his performance up for me, slow on the ball, slow in thought and some of his passing was atrocious. Think we can do a lot better personally.

Too get up to speed you need to play games you can't judge a player till he gets a run in the side . But hey this is fox talk . So many class player take a season to settle . Look at wes, drinks, mares, vardy, jasper, all better than last season. Kante and Fuchs the exception to the rule. Look for the positives . He was reasonable tonight

To those of you who thought he did well defensively I suggest you watch the game on catch up

The main asset for a DCM is to sense danger before it happens and Inler simply doesn't do this any where near quick enough

When Stirling went through and KS saved well look where Inler was

Same thing happened too many times because he got dragged into the wrong areas

Kante would be our best DCM by a mile but we would miss him else where

Just don't see where Inler fits into our system

This league is to fast for him, needs to much time on the ball, in this league time is usually at a premium, I can see why he'd be good in a slower paced league. Not easy for him but good players adapt, still time to make a positive impression

It's bizarre how someone has experienced as he is and someone who has played at a higher level is struggling in this league.

Shows how different the premier league is to anything else. He made some good interceptions but was generally out of his depth.

Say it how you see it!

Thought he was poor. Gave the ball away a lot and made quite a few bad passes. Did okay defensively, other than the stonewall penalty.

What penalty would that be?

I think some people are just getting him and drink water mixed up. Drinky did pretty well tonight, it was a clear improvement in the middle because of him.

Inler did ok at times but he was clearly a weakness in the second half and gave the ball away too often.

Interesting people keep saying hes to slow. For me he is no slower than EC last season. He's hardly played you cant expect him to come right into the team and be outstanding. for me he was a little off the pace and his passing was not the sharpest but his interceptions and break up play was generally good and he shows glimpses of class. More game time and i think he will be fine. The question is where does he fit into the system to get that game time. Injury's apart i just done see him getting the minutes on the pitch. He will most likely go back to 4-4-2 V B'mouth with the normal Kante and Drinky in the middle with MA and RM on the flanks with Okazaki or Leo in behind Vardy. i just don't see him getting a run in the team unless we get injury's and then he will only be filling in and still not get the run of games he needs to get upto speed.

It's not about one player, it's about the complete squad effort and the collective spirit that's made us joint top of the PL after half the season. If Inler has added valuable experience and support behind the scenes, that's good enough for me. He may not be our best player, but I like his attitude and he seems part of our make up this year. If the players like him and he's good for team spirit and morale, keep him at the club...

When EC played during our bad run, he had the time to get to know the league, then turned it on during the Great Escape. Inler hasn't (for good reason) had the same time to adapt.
