kingfox Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Thought he did a few things well, won quite a few headers, people moaning about his passing but Drinkwater & Kante weren't any better in that department. His problem is he likes to spend too much time on the ball, that's his main fault.
Jakemoore Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Weird game. He did a lot right but so much wrong. He intercepted and broke up play and times quite well. But he also gave the ball away poorly and also through a lack of pace and trickery. The one where he took the ball off Sterling and ran 5/10 yards with the ball before having the world's most obvious pass to Mahrez on but instead just got tackled, summed his game up for me. I think he is better than he's showing, but do we need him? I'm not sure.
fuchsntf Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 He will still be here for the summer. He has just played against the best players in the PL. Kante and DD, also made some big boopers this evening... Shall we drop Vardy because he missed his 3rd great chance in 2 games. I have no thought one way or the other, if he had 5-6 above avg performances, I wouldnt jump into his corner either. It will depend alot on Claudios take on it, if he is given time, or more chances, one thing I wont do, with us being equal top with Arsenal, is jizz off any of the squad, who get picked to wear the royal blue.
Lcfc_1995 Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 He seems to be sloppy on the ball and a bit inconsistent with it, he seems to win the ball but then he will try to run with it and then he loses the ball afterwards!
Reg Vardy Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 People amaze me, we have just drawn against the Championship favourites who have every chance of reaching the Champions league final. Today Inler was asked to play, a rarity, in a new formation, another rarity, and our eleven matched their eleven.....Inler was one of the team that held off Silva, Aguero, Sterling and Bony ( Somebody add their value up please) Our team cost £18m......awesome result, credit to all eleven, some of us are getting a bit carried away on here.....fantastic TEAM performance.....
coolhandfox Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Did ok against a strong MCFC midfield, needs game time!
crisp packet Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 He did ok today . Tired second half and was always going to be subbed for a forward. Minutes will do him well...

Webbo Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 How do people know he just needs game time? How do we know that's not as good as he gets in the PL?
nnfox Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 He is clearly a talented footballer although he came here on the back of a dip in form in Italy. He is still clearly off the pace but more with his brain than physically. EC was slow but he could read the game so well and rarely gave the ball away. Inler doesn't compare. Thought he looked tired towards the end of his game. He was getting progressively worse in his last 10 minutes on the pitch and making silly mistakes. The jury is still out on him from me.
FLAN Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Interesting people keep saying hes to slow. For me he is no slower than EC last season. He's hardly played you cant expect him to come right into the team and be outstanding. for me he was a little off the pace and his passing was not the sharpest but his interceptions and break up play was generally good and he shows glimpses of class. More game time and i think he will be fine. The question is where does he fit into the system to get that game time. Injury's apart i just done see him getting the minutes on the pitch. He will most likely go back to 4-4-2 V B'mouth with the normal Kante and Drinky in the middle with MA and RM on the flanks with Okazaki or Leo in behind Vardy. i just don't see him getting a run in the team unless we get injury's and then he will only be filling in and still not get the run of games he needs to get upto speed. Spot on. Sadly I think he will leave before we see what he can really do
ajthefox Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Some harsh comments on here imo. Particularly given he couldn't have come in in much harder circumstances. He was poor on the ball and did give it away a few times, but off it he was good. Put himself about, made some good tackles and interceptions. Valid contribution to a strong team performance.
Reg Vardy Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Hope he gets 90 against Tottenham in the cup....the bloke has hardly played.....then is picking up Silva....give the man a break.....as a matter of interest, we haven't signed a crap player in the last three years......and I include Kramaric in that.....trust the coaching staff, they know more about players than we ever do......
Reg Vardy Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Man City have spent £422m in the last five season......and we drew with them......marvellous night

King came into the team in a much tougher situation. Came in half way through the first half against Chelsea, into a midfield two and then started in the same midfield two at goodison and anfield, played all three games better than inler tonight and got absolutely slated. Inler had it all set up for the team to be about him tonight and he was awful. Simple as that.
waylander Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Claudio believed he was good enough to start that should be good enough for all of you . He sees him in training too

Perhaps not slower in movement than cambiasso but he's absolute light years away in terms of speed of thought and movement of the ball, which our whole team is based around. Touch, another touch, a touch, move five yards forward, have another touch, get outmuscled by raheem sterling, repeat.
Bluefoxtim Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 2nd most interceptions in the match today. I thought he did alright considering how little game time he has had.
benpicko Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Kanté and Drinky bailed him out multiple times today and he didn't do anything noteworthy otherwise
Littletoe Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Hahaha! How the **** did anyone think Inler did well tonight ? I respect the lad and admire his love for the team on twitter, but seriously, he was dreadful, be honest with yourself.
Clever Fox Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 He done ok today but we need better from him given that he's an experienced International player. I think his problem is he's played too long in Italy where they give you forever on the Ball. Now that he's in the prem he needs to up his game if he can. Personally I think it's best if he goes back to Italy and we get a more mobile and talented passer of the ball in his place.

Larry_LCFC Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Everytime ive seen him play, he seems to be working at 50% pace of everybody else. Far too pedestrian for my liking.
Heart-Shaped Fox Posted 29 December 2015 Posted 29 December 2015 Think he has lost some brain speed on the ball or just can't get used to the speed of the premier. Gets the ball doesn't know what hes doing if he has longer than a sec on it and ultimately gives it away
