Are we doing expressions we hate?  Excellent.

'Different gravy'

'There's a player in there somewhere'

'You love to see it'

All of them fingernails down a blackboard to me.

As you were.

'Even Stevens'

Doesn't mean anything. Doesn't even rhyme properly.

Today saw the 100th. home win of the season in the PL. Out of 273 games played so far, there have been 100 home wins, 65 draws and 108 away wins. In percentage terms, that equates to 36.6% home wins, 23.8% draws and 39.6% away wins. Seven clubs, including City and Liverpool, have lost 6 home matches.

Saw in the press that  onlyl Palace had equalled us  in gaining only 38% of our points at home with only 10 games to go.

We have won 36% of our points at home, only Everton have a bigger points won swing then us when comparing home and away points won

Everton have won 37% of their points at home but have played one more home game then we have

Palace actually have a better home record then away record this season albeit a very close call between them with 54% of their points being won at home

So we have an 8th consecutive season of Premier League football confirmed for next season.

This is our longest run in top flight football since the Premier League began and our 3rd longest run in our history.

1st 12 seasons - 1957 - 1969 this period included a best finish of 4th, an appearance in the cup winners cup, 3 FA cup finals and 2 league cup finals - 1 league cup win.

2nd 10 seasons - 1925 - 1935 this period included  a second place finish and an FA Cup semi final.

3rd 8 seasons 2014 - present including a Premier League win, a champions league quarter final, a run in the Europa League and a charity shield runners up.

4th 7 seasons 1971 - 1978 this period included a beat finish of 7th and a charity shield win.

5th 6 seasons 1996 - 2002 this period included a best finish of 8th 2 League Cup wins and 2 knockout games in the UEFA Cup.

In short as a traditional yo-yo club, we are lucky to be experiencing one of the best periods in the club’s history.

Just shows, being in the top flight brings you more opportunity in other competitions. Let's hope for more glory in the next few years.

And Mother’s Day to boot! Looked like it meant so much to him too, a very fulfilling moment.

Hate to piss on the chips but according to that link, Kel's mum passed away 2 weeks before the 2013 African u17 Championships, which were held in April 2013. Kel was born Oct 1996 so he'd have been 16.

However, it would make sense that he was emotional due to it being Mother's Day given his reaction and that's understandable :)
