Chilwell

...but for the press to come out and say 'Klopp to make Leicesters Ben Chilwell a priority summer target' is just ridiculous lol lol lol lol

The lad has proved nothing, and is quite frankly embarrassing himself whether its his agent or not.

Klopp seems the kind of man who would make speaking to the cleaning lady his priority if she was passing him in the corridor. He seems a focused and passionate man who'll give 100% priority to whatever he wants at the time. It's perhaps one of his great strengths but I'd imagine he might give zero priority to anyone who fails him and doesn't quickly respond to given advice.

sounds like a lot of agent talk if you ask me. But like others have said if he doesn't want to be here let him go. I just cant see him breaking into Liverpool's first team? is he really THAT good? ok I know Liverpool aren't world class but their fans and Klopp are surely going to want to push on and buying an unproven left back really isn't their best option surely?

A sad day it we let excellent young talent leave us without trying very hard to keep him. We need younger legs in our squad. Good English young legs are rarer than a Villa win.

Stop saying young legs! It's creepy! lol

Same money as Soton got for Callum Chambers £16m please

It's comments like this that make me laugh. Surely your not that deluded! Chambers was a regular for Southampton & played a key role. Chilwell hasn't even played a prem game if we even get close to 10 million I would be surprised.

What do people think if Ben Hamers reply to one of Ben chilwell a Instagram clips of him scoring a goal?

Is it just me or does anyone else get really irritated by This spoilt little shiit Ben chilwell, that really is too big for his boots ... really hope he turns into a failed Joe mattock if he leaves. Purely because he's came across a right mug.

You get all from from a joke made by Hamer?

Hope he goes after all the ridiculous abuse on here by a load of people who have so idea what's going on or what he's like.

Maybe it was a joke in reference to all the rumours of him leaving for Liverpool. That's what it looks like to me.

Sounds like a joke about the rumours to me too.

Some people are so offensive on here. He's a young footballer, he's going to do what's best for him, his career and bank balance. That's how it is. Fair play to him. I'm jealous he'll earn loads more than I ever could.

As corny as it sounds, maybe the fans believe in something more than money.

Like we don't  get players from other clubs like Gray who's  pretty much come here for a pittance to sit on the bench.

Where were you all did you call him for leaving Brum to come to us.

I'm not into this Twitter nonsense, but was most amused by joe.p_10's contributions:

- "Stay at Leicester, you r our future"

- "@benchilwell" [i.e. "Not you, Hamer, you're not our future!" :D]

I actually assume that Hamer is NOT a complete bellend from the fact that he didn't rise to that.

No wonder that footballers often take a jaded view of football fans.

The club must have somebody lined up incase he decides to leave anyway? Would be a shame to see him leave as he looks like a good prospect.

There was an article a while ago linking us with a number of players, one of which a left back.

Benjamin Mendy from OM. Soon to be 22. French U21. Played with Mahrez at Le Harve.

I seem to remember we have younger LB who's played for the U19s

A key role in what exactly? He played 22 games for Soton... Hardly established first team. You know what teams pay for young English talent. £49mill for Sterling FFS. If he really is one of English footballs rising stars why shouldn't we demand a big fee?

Do you think Chambers is worth £16m now? It's about paying for potential. If we don't really want to sell the best we can do is rip Liverpool off!!

Gray was a good value buy, but hardly a pittance. When we bought him we were not in a position to take risks during matches, given our tight league situation, but even so he has had a fair amount of playing time. Moreover, it's clear to him that he will be playing an even bigger part next season, especially with the extra commitments.

He has come to a club which is a huge step up, where he would have expected to get much improved coaching to enhance his career, and has been fortunate to get a Prem winners medal and be looking forward to Euro Champions League participation next season.

I find it hard to see any similarities with the "Chilwell to Liverpool" saga.

Regarding a pittance I think you will find the Brum fans will have a difference of opinion.

Despite our success last season and our Champions league many fans would see Liverpool as a big step up in terms of future progress and I'm sure Klopp is quite capable of making sure any coaching is of the highest level.

It wasn't that long ago Brum were in the PL and we were floundering below likewise it wasn't that long ago Liverpool were in the Champions League and it was something most LCFC fans never envisage.

Football is awash with fluctuating circumstances and it's down to individual gut feel as to where would provide the better prospects.

Since his time here and in the current situation, there's been every opportunity for Grey to get game time.

Chilwell is up against a rock steady incumbent and, so far, has had relatively little opportunity - perhaps because there's greater risk with a defender as emphasised by his arguably costing us a goal against Spurs.

I don't imagine there's any top-level Premiership club around courting Grey with the kind of opportunity Chilwell might be temped with just now but I'd be surprised if any aspiring youngster didn't give the seemingly serious enquiries by Liverpool and Arsenal prolonged thought in evaluating which path might lead to the greatest fulfillment, recognition and perhaps more guaranteed opportunities.

You've touched on the problem yourself with regards to risk but sooner or later every youngster has to cope with the big matches if they're going to get on and every coach has to give them the nod some time.

Unimportant or half-strength games are not the same as we've demonstrated so often against Burton Albion, Shrewsbury and even Spurs in the replay when we didn't seem to be fueled with urgency.

I always think the sooner those "big match" hurdles are crossed the better because keeping people cushioned doesn't really add to their experience or ability to cope.

But, at Leicester, there's no obvious vacancy in any case, hence the lad's predicament.
