Stevosevic Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 Surely hes not going to be first choice LB at Liverpool
StanSP Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 Probably bullshit. Moreno plays shit. Liverpool suddenly need a left-back Let's link a player they've been linked with before
gurru991 Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 Chilwell will not see much playing time at Liverpool or Arsenal. Loan out to a championship next season & he can play 1st team for us after that
VLC86 Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 Chigwell will not see much playing time at Liverpool or Arsenal. Loan out to a championship next season & he can play 1st team for us after that Who is that mate?
MPH Posted 19 May 2016 Posted 19 May 2016 Liverpool close in on left-back transfer with Leicester's Ben Chilwell set for £3m move 22:30, 19 MAY 2016 BY JOHN CROSS The Reds are trying to replace Alberto Moreno and boss Jurgen Klopp believes he has beaten Arsenal to the teenager PLUS: Kop confident on German keeper Jurgen Klopp will start rebuilding his Liverpool squad by signing Leicester’s teenage left-back Ben Chilwell. The 18-year-old has turned down a new £18,000-a-week deal offered by the title-winning Foxes, with Klopp's Reds and Arsenal hot on his heels. The German believes he has won the race as the Anfield giants look to find a long-term successor for Alberto Moreno, who had a nightmare in the Europa League final loss to Sevilla on Wednesday. Liverpool are likely to have to pay around £3m for Chilwell, who has played for England at Under-18, U19, U20 and U21 levels and is frustrated at a lack of opportinty at Leicester "Likely to have to pay" Translated as " we havnt got a scoobies and so will just throw a number out there"
gurru991 Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 Who is that mate? I'm sure you can work it out. Kinda sad if you can't
Thracian Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 Surely hes not going to be first choice LB at Liverpool Don't see why not. Left-back's a major weakness there. Games all but guaranteed I'd imagine. It just makes sense (with add ons) if there's no obvious first team vacancy here.

He's at least another year away here.
Babylon Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 It's his agent doing his job... Remember when Liam Moore was rated as a hot prospect and "Arsenal wanted him", puts a few thousand extra on the contract. Unless it came from the agent how would they know what was turned down contract wise? He's either angling for extra cash, or attempting to drum up business with potential buying clubs. Either way, he won't leave on the cheap and we'll have a large sell on percentage in any deal. If he's not wanting to stay, let him rot in the stiffs or get rid. We've got the cash to not even have to worry about it.
SemperEadem Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 Was there not a time when the Mirror was bang on with info on us? Still like that?
TrentFox Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 The kit manager is a bloke, the person that does all the washing, repairing, setting out etc isnt. But there are two kit ladies who do all the day to day stuff I believe.
Edingleyfox Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 We will need him next year.Remember seeing him in a pre-season friendly at Mansfield and he was the stand out player.Fuchs has been excellent but he will be off in a couple of years.Surely we can tempt him with a new contract and a bit more playing time
VLC86 Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 I'm sure you can work it out. Kinda sad if you can't Is it Benaloune?
mozartfox Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 The Mail on-line (today) says Liverpool are confident of signing him.
Babylon Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 Was there not a time when the Mirror was bang on with info on us? Still like that?Same day, same paper, same reporter... saying a Vardy might go West Ham for more money.
Babylon Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 But there are two kit ladies who do all the day to day stuff I believe. The lad has been in the first team squad since the start of the season, he was on the released squad numbers list. What special first team kit are people thinking he wanted exactly? Another rumour that smells of bullshit.
Bakey Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 #lfc interest in Ben Chilwell genuine and bid expected soon. #lcfc turned down a £5m offer from #afc in January From @jpercytelegraph on twitter
Babylon Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 #lfc interest in Ben Chilwell genuine and bid expected soon. #lcfc turned down a £5m offer from #afc in January From @jpercytelegraph on twitter So Liverpool have got their man.... Yet they haven't even bid for him. So much bullshit.
johnny the fox Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 If its true he is off...he will join a long line of players who thought the could do better ...they never learn..
TheUltimateWinner Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 Not every player has an affinity for the club like we do. Treat it like it was your job, if a place has better prospects and a better wage, you'd make the move. He has his own personal aspirations he wants to fulfill, can't blame him. It's hardly as if he's been spouting off to the press about being unhappy, no one knows anything about the situation, there's been no official comment from anyone associated with the club.
dbtcity Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 Unless we get a decent wedge for him like 8m+ and he still refuses to sign a new deal id just stick him in the under 18s and leave him to rot for a season
Countryfox Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 Mercury today says that our chaiman said ... 'Our stars stay' and that 'they have all expressed a desire to stay'. Good enough for me. Ngolo ain't going nowhere and maybe Chiwell is a star and is staying or more likely he isn't a star and he can buckle down and get on with it ... Or fvck off.
dannythefox Posted 20 May 2016 Posted 20 May 2016 Nobody knows what's happening with chilwell but I'd like to keep him but if he's not happy let him leave.

I'm not sure Claudio would describe Chilwell as one of our "stars" !
