ScouseFox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I've never posted any bullshit in all my time on here this is bullshit imho
hornyhollthefox123 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Thing is, I don't have a house and in this case, there'd be a £300k "release clause" on the property which renders the £500k argument useless. No one would pay more than they have to - why pay £500k when you can save £200k? As for player's value and the evaluations, may I point you to the following info? http://www.arsenalreview.co.uk/2009/07/9-factors-to-determine-football-transfer-value-fee-kaka-ronaldo-adebayor/ (Ironically found on an Arsenal site) https://www.quora.com/On-what-basis-is-the-value-of-a-footballer-estimated P.S.: I didn't say or allude to that "Wenger is anybody"- quite on the contrary. I'm saying that cheap is talk and Wenger has a history of talking a lot... That house argument is daft. Not getting further into it.. And that's what i initially was saying re Vardy. We surely haven't put in such a low clause now.. It must have rolled over from the previous contract as a pre requisite. I'm basing his £30m value on the fact teams like WBA rejected £25m for Berahino, we were supposedly quoted £25m for Shane Long etc etc. I know none of us know for sure but also he's english and playing in the Premier League. That normally inflates prices and inflates what teams will pay. Therefore it's just gutting he is going to leave for £20m and to suggest he's not worth £30m in this current market is wrong IMO
RowlattsFox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Once the dust settles I think people will begin to appreciate what he has done for us but there is going to be a lot of anger, frustration and disappoint initially.
Brizzle Fox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I know hes very settled in Melton and doesn't want to up roots. London though is not a bad run. Whilst i don't want him to go, if he wants to then best wishes. We got the best out of him last season as Claudio and the rest of the team fitted in with him, i don't think he will offer the same value to another club. Being asked to play out of his zone against Portugal made him look like a poor park player. Makes a very good point. Vardy is a very average player in a system not set up specifically to suit his very particular talents. I suspect he will disappear quickly without trace at arsenal. Oh well at least he'll be very rich and be able to buy loads more overpriced tasteless tat for his chav mansion.
Tom17LCFC Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I'd keep Wasilewski if he goes, just to snap him in half next year.
Larry_LCFC Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 How many of you are going to have to try and steam "Vardy 9" off the back of your new shirt having queued all day to get it done? lol
Guest kristianity77 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 If he goes then he goes. The sour taste part is him coming out literally a week ago saying he can't wait for next season etc. If he has engineered this move elsewhere then he would have known this week. So he was lying through his teeth whilst coming out with it.
ScouseFox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Once the dust settles I think people will begin to appreciate what he has done for us but there is going to be a lot of anger, frustration and disappoint initially. just upsetting that he should be all of our heroes forever and in a months time he should be a national treasure, yet he's gonna score against us for fu cking arsenal in 4 months time. he'll never be viewed the same. he's cvnted it. not even arsed how pathetic that sounds.
Tom17LCFC Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I'd keep Wasilewski if he goes, just to snap him in half next year.

Gerard Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Shoddy management? Without the release clause he would have probably been off in January and we wouldn't have won the league! How would he leave without our say so? We still had the whip hand, if he refused what we offered then he was still contracted to the club on 40k a week for 2.5 years and well into his 30's. Obviously it's not ideal to have an unhappy player but he has far more to lose from downing tools than what we had. We could easily have insisted that he didn't have a release clause or made it that high that we would get a good deal if he left. Just because we wanted to keep him it doesn't mean that we had to write a "blank cheque". If he was 24 and 18months left on his contract then he is coming from a position of strength but last January the club had all the power, not Vardy.
Guest BlueBrett Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Hang on a minute..I thought Giroud was world class?? Why do they even need a new striker?
glen parva fox Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 It's always about the money, Jamie can't afford to live on £80,000 a week, feel sorry for him

And now the revisionism begins. Behave yourself, he's quality. A bigger club, offering more money are coming in for him. He has been a professional footballer for what? Five years? He's touching thirty. He has already achieved things beyond his wildest dreams even two years ago. You take the massive contract and set yourself and your family up for life.
Charl91 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 No matter how great he's been for us, If he left for Arsenal, he'd destroy his legacy at the club. If it was a club abroad, I'd be a little gutted, but I could understand. But leaving us for a direct competitor would be absolutely terrible. It's also probably going to knock the wheels off our champions league campaign too.
Larry_LCFC Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Can't help but think his film makers might have a small say in this aswell. What better way for them to end it with Vardy joining Arsenal from little Leicester City. They can **** off aswell. Can anyone tell I feel sad?
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 I think he's forgotten his roots. Such a shame.

Average you are having a laugh, he is a great player, fantastic finisher and terrorises defences . Not only that he contributes with assists too...
yorkie1999 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 It's always about the money, Jamie can't afford to live on £80,000 a week, feel sorry for him It's all about getting a release clause in a new contract so he's not tied to the club.

Poznan34 Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Oooh, this is rustling a few jimmies. Did you expect a passive reaction then?! Of course everyone will be annoyed!
Larry_LCFC Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 The difference is, Vardy would lead our CL charge without a doubt. At arsenal, he'll just be a small cog in another bottled competition. Other than money, why else would you want to throw away what he's built up here?
jazz Posted 4 June 2016 Posted 4 June 2016 Can't believe this has happened way to fuc king easy no fight at all I'm livid about this.... Small club mentality ffs
