So @@Donut about that brilliant performance and all those chance? Yet our front man had no touches in the opposition box Kane wasn't great and Vardy would have been more effective, plus what the hell was he doing taking set pieces... Is Hodgson a secret Scotland fan!
kingfox Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Hodgson is an absolute cvnt, seriously despise him, despise him more than McClaren. One of the most deluded managers I've ever seen, I swear certain players suck him off just to get a start, favouring the likes of Sterling & Milner over the likes of Vardy is embarrassing. Can't wait till this cvnt gets his marching orders.
casablancas Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 @@Donut has gone suspiciously quiet? He gone to a Swiss forum? .
Raw Dykes Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 do u think Hodgson even studied Russia's team? Their defence was slow as anything, Vardy would have had a field day. He really would have. The more I think about it, the more convinced I am of that. He would have been shooting fish in a barrel.
StanSP Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 wrong one If this is the answer, what is the question? Which striker did Roy Hodgson play?
katieakita Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Didn't help with that toss pot Hoddle making out we were on a par with Brazil 1970. Raw Dykes gets it spot on with his post the scary thing is that is probably the best tournament performance from England since Woy took over but that was in spite of Hodgson not because of him. The dropped points are down to him and him alone.
whoareyaaa Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 It's always the people who don't care about England who do the most moaning about the team/manager. Do yourself a favour and stop watching. I used to love watching England, almost as much as Leicester but how can you support a manager that is way out of his depth and continues to prove that he just isn't capable, look what happened at the last tournament.. And he is still here, brainless as he was back then.

And he is still here, brainless as he was back then. I do agree with this, I want us to do well, but it is clear Hodgson isn't the man to bring this team forward. He shouldn't be here after that 2014 World Cup. I was shocked back then when he didn't get the boot ...

Arriba Los Zorros Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 What was with the commentary making out we were playing total football and ripping them to shreds? All I saw all game was a poor, disjointed performance against a seriously poor team. Could somebody explain? Or have Leicester just spoiled us?

ITV have been sucking off Spurs so much that they have well and truly bought into the idea that whoever has the most possession is God's gift to football.

It was odd though, they were talking as if it was a all-time great performance when it was average at best.... really feel like they'd been paid off by the FA!!!!
foxes21 Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 rooney was good yeah, but his positioning is still awful in CM & if we do progress in the later stages he's going to be found out so badly against the better teams.

You're probably right, but I was expecting a lot worse from him tonight. There's a good chance we won't be playing anyone much better in this tournament now, anyway.
jim5000 Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Played well and didn't win, this has World Cup 2014 written all over it. We need Vardy to give us that killer instinct.
iamafox Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Hodgson is a ****ing joke of a manager. Anyone that still defends his team selections/tactics is a complete moron.
theessexfox Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Thought we were decent first half, no one was outstanding but we were much the better team, sat back a bit too much after the goal but they still weren't heaping waves of pressure onto us, I thought we were managing fine until the perfect storm occured and they nicked a goal. Subs weren't great, it was crying out for Vardy to stretch the game and I can't defend our fossil of a manager for that. I think there are a few overreactions on here though, we could have feasibly headed that away and we're all pleased with a decent performance and a good result, it's just the way it goes at times.

Guest FriendlyRam Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 England 0-1 Wales England 1-1 Slovakia 1 Wales 9pts 2 Russia 4pts 3 England 2pts 4 Slovakia 1pts We score 2 goals without Vardy in the team and we all moan about not playing a premiership winning striker with 24 goals not getting a game Rashford in ahead of Drinkwater and doesn't even warm up to come off the bench will be another one... and we wonder why we do fack all at these tournaments. Slovakia looked half capable in that 2nd half against Wales as well
Strokes Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 What the hell do people mean club over country? I don't understand it. It's not like the two things ever need to clash, Leicester will never play against England, so it's not a betrayal of your club to follow England in the same way. It is, without doubt, the stupidest phrase I've ever seen or heard. Anyone who utters or writes it, is a complete waste of oxygen.
MC Prussian Posted 11 June 2016 Posted 11 June 2016 Still have to laugh at the photographer in black who was unfortunate enough to get caught up in the England squad's huddle after Dier's goal.
