Everton plan Kasper Schmeichel transfer

I have a feeling he's not going to be automatic number 1 next year. Maybe he's been told the same?

Why on earth not?

He's been immense in 2016, barely put a foot wrong.

De gea Neur aside who is a better goal keeper?

I could sit and list a load I mean look no further that Arsenal signing cech for 10.5m!! Like I said I rate Schmeichel and he's been one of the best keepers we've Had since walker/flowers but keepers don't command the same sort of fees as outfield players! 20m is a crazy price for him imo, would I sell him... Would be a tough decision but if he said he wanted to go and we received 20m I'd be hugely confident we'd replace him, and probably with a better gk for cheaper... That being said we may have already just signed a top top gk who may replace him for 3m

Can't believe people would sell him!? As others have said, he's one of the core squad players of a title winning team, and only narrowly missed out on the golden glove.

Surely everyone wants to watch him in Europe with us next year?

The Denmark international is believed to have a £17m release clause in his contract, and after keeping 15 clean sheets last term is considered to be at his peak.

Oh ffs whoever negotiated our contracts needs sacking

It is going to be interesting if we keep Kasper. The new keeper is a VERY good goalkeeper and I doubt he's going to be wanting to warm the bench for the whole season. And Kasper hates being benched.

FFS i'm bored of release clauses.

but lets look at it, happy here, CL football 100k a week on the table.

alternatively, lives in NW, 100k a week been on the table for a while unsigned.

who knows. but he'd be mad to leave, another that could stay 12 months and his stock won't drop.

£17m is an amount I'd be ok with. Zieler is good.

We have probably the best squad in the clubs history, billionaire owners, ridiculous TV money and some are happy to sell our best players......imo Schmeichel is priceless like the vast majority of the 16-17 regulars.....we don't need to sell and Kasper is a top keeper who gets better every year and is entering the peak years.....hopefully the owners have more sense than some of our fans
