I'm gutted for him. Lost his place in the Swiss team on the eve of a major tournament and now been told to find another club. I hope he finds a top club, his positivity through all of this has been amazing.

 Was unlucky not to get more football. If we had played 3 at the back as Claudio intended, things would have been different. Glad he stayed for the second half of the season, always seemed as positive as possible, given the circumstances.

We need to accept it, with what we paid for him and how he's (not) played, he's been a shite signing. Allegedly earning 50k per week AND we paid a fee for him...now letting him go for zero.

Spent far too long in Serie A to be able to make it here. Seems a good bloke and no doubt fit in fine and lent some value here and there, but sadly absolute doggo on the pitch.

I do get this thing about supposed leadership off the pitch. Genuinely I do. But is that worth paying what we paid for him, rewarding him handsomely financially, to get nothing back whatsoever. Seems like an excuse to me, for a player I personally had high hopes for (midfield quality, composure etc) whereas we've sadly hardly seen it.

Weighing it all up....poor signing (as I suggested he would be having seen him play only once). Just too slow for the Prem.

This just did not work for either party BUT as has been said his attitude was thoroughly professional and I wish him well. To get his wages off the bill will allow the money to be spent on improving the contracts of those remaining and comply with prem rules on increasing the wage bill.

To be fair mate, it wasn't said with hindsight though was it? Anyone really looking could see it was a poor signing pretty much from the off. In terms of on the pitch. Off the pitch, he's apparently been a good lad with a good attitude.

I don't get how anyone can really be considered a "shite signing", be it Kram or Inler, when they're being kept out of the squad by players who have just won the league out of nowhere? It's not like they struggled to make an impact whilst we were adrift at the bottom of the league.

Not his fault that he never really had time to adapt, he was being kept out by Kante and Drinkwater who had the season of their lives. Seems like he had a good attitude, contributed off the pitch and never kicked up a fuss so fair play to him. Best for both parties for him to move on and hopefully no hard feelings on either side.

He lives down the road from me & has a large "Leicester City - Premier League Champions" flag hanging from front bedroom window.

 

Currently out of country, but flag has been up since we were crowned champions.

There was talk of him last year of going to live near Loughborough/that side of Leicestershire.

Tbf he didn't have a bad game against man city. When I saw him in our league cup campaign though I was very underwhelmed, looked totally out of his depth. As has been said, he's too slow for the premier league

What would have happened if we'd have had some injury problems in midfield? He'd have come in and probably done a decent job. He was a squad player in the end who we didn't need, but only hindsight can tell you that.
