They were crap though. God nos how they havnt lost at home in 2 years

We controlled the game and are the ONLY team in Champions League history to have NEVER conceded a goal.

Shinji is now the most important player in our squad imo!

We looked instantly better when he was on, his willingness to create that extra man in midfield really helps the players around him.

Good all round performance. Fuchs was class all night. I thought Amartay and Schlupp done well in midfield. Bice to see Schlupp hold the Ball and run with it, trying to make things happen. Amartey comfortable on the Ball and not afraid to take it in tight situations. Kasper saved the day again with brilliant concentration. Well done lads.

Still unbeaten and a point away from home isn't bad but that was a fvcking horrendous game of football and a half decent team could've smashed us.

Watching Danish football must be god awful if Copenhagen are far and away the best team in their league.

Could be worse, could have played 0-0 against a Norwegian team ;)

A youth product not a first team ready centre mid.

In that case we payed 5M too much. I thought we had a diamond after Swansea but his performances since have been a mixture of average and terrible.

Possibly always has been but as he doesn't score goals been completely cast aside by fans who have never recognised that he makes a 442 actually work in English football.

lol, yeah, I had a triple dose of being full of it, watching it, and a load of verbal diarrhoea

Reading the match thread was an embarrassment.

All I see is Huth is crap. Morgan is crap. Hernandez, Schlupp, Amartey are crap. Everyone is crap.

Get a grip we're not Real Madrid.

We have 10 points from 4 games in the Champions League and people are upset because we drew 0-0 on an away day. lol

Imagine seeing this thread one year ago.

Cheers Mate!  Seriously, I'm not Jeffs biggest fan, but thought he did nothing wrong and had some good runs. None of those quick raids down the wing granted, but he was one of the better ones for me. all opinions of course, hey, we got 10 bloody points, happy days

I agree Steve. A few blunders aside, Jeff was far from the worst player out there for us tonight.

Schlupp did ok in the second half, he held the ball up and linked it as well as direct running at them. To be honest they were all dire in the first half apart from Schmeichel who had nothing to do.

I'm not going to lie, we were not very good first half.

You can usually tell within about 5 minutes whether Mahrez is on it or not.

Tonight, sadly, not.

He put in a shift (I hate to read people saying he was walking about or couldn't be bothered), but the magic was missing.

Still love him, though.

We can enjoy the result but be underwhelmed by the performance.

Always tough away in the CL, a point to us was massive but to them doesn't help much so even better result. We were fairly comfortable throughout bar the header they had towards the end, good performance and defensively we are back to ourselves towards the second half of last season

Unless you were neutral I don't see how that was boring.

First half we were terrible, lack of movement, bad organisation, slack errors so I was stressing abit. Second we dominated, we pressed, we moved ourselves, the opposition and the ball well for most of the half, couple of counter attacks and a load of diving about from Santander.

If we perform like we did in the first half against most sides we should lose, certainly a good point but we have to grasp consistency somehow.

Joking/trolling, surely?

This grates on me. It is mad when you put in a perspective and it's not a bad result, but that was a terrible game of football. We were lax defensively and we offered nothing going forward against a side who were just plain bad. If Schmeichel hadn't made that save, you can bet your bottom dollar this thread would be a meltdown.

why do we sometimes look like a fourth tier team?

Well be just drew against a team that hasn't lost at home for 33 games, and we are top of our champions league group and we're one of only 2 teams not to concede a goal in this years champions league.

Not sure Hartlepool could pull that off.

Also, the players who enable others to shine are generally overlooked, until people release they're missed.

I just feel like the Tinkerman in his wisdom is fecking about too much in order to deal with multiple competitions. In doing so we have neither hit upon a formation or style that has clicked. We're like a car lurching forward through all the gears at the wrong speeds. It's so ugly, but fortunately is just about working for now. But for how long?
