It's very easy to be loyal when no top teams have the slightest bit of interest in you.

Vacamion Posted 9 January 2017 Posted 9 January 2017 The people who want to sing "Champions of England You'll Never Sing That" at a team that has, in fact, won it. You might be having a laugh at an in-joke with your mates, but if this game is on telly, the watching public won't be in on the joke with you, and will think you (and the Leicester supporters as a whole) are a bunch of slow witted, drooling simpletons. Now... will Vardy be available for this tie, or is he still away at AFCON ?

If it were 'Champions of england, you've never sung that' I would understand as it's just wrong. however what we sing surely just implies that they won't ever sing it - i.e. They will never win the premier league - I think that's a fair thing to sing at somewhere like Derby haha

Been brainwashed by the media into thinking that football really was invented in 1992 and are being a bit thick Or B. Really are just a bit thick ....... or being a dim witted, drooling, simpleton if you prefer.
melrose Posted 10 January 2017 Posted 10 January 2017 I want this day to be on a par with the Burton albion 3rd roud tie at the Baseball ground in 1985 Only people of a certain age will know Fantastic day from start to finish

Chico1958 Posted 10 January 2017 Posted 10 January 2017 So its Derby They had Bristol in the hat and they picked Derby Pity Nige has gone, that would have been fun Chelsea 5th round Kante doesn't foul Vardy but we get a Pen in the last 5 mins and all the pain has gone. Frank Labeouf the memories, the pain, it never leaves you, you know. And that my friends is why I hate the FA Cup.
sylofox Posted 10 January 2017 Posted 10 January 2017 Anyone here the villa fans belt out to spuds. Champions of Europe you'll never sing that. Much as i love and want to win the fa cup I'd take never winning it to get our hands on the CL.

Forest fans have been singing this for ages too, even sang it to Arsenal in the cup which in return they replied 'champions of Europe, you weren't even born'.
ultrafox Posted 10 January 2017 Posted 10 January 2017 Some if us are far too optimistic about this tie. The FA cup is all about giant killing and this could be another if we think this will be a walk over. This will be a tough match as Derby and their fans would love nothing more than to beat their East Midland neighbours and the reigning Champions of England.
stripeyfox Posted 10 January 2017 Posted 10 January 2017 Not sure if mentioned already by Derby fans are saying (in jest, I presume) that this should be the inaugural "Nigel Pearson Trophy", and even submitted photo of said trophy - an ostrich of course. Pretty funny for them!
lgfualol Posted 10 January 2017 Posted 10 January 2017 I love how desperate some Derby fans are to make it look like they aren't bothered about us. You know when match day rolls around, they'll be selling half-half scarves on the streets on Derby and cherishing the day the Champions arrive to play at the iPro.

Voll Blau Posted 10 January 2017 Posted 10 January 2017 Hope everyone who plans to sing "Champions of England, you'll never sing that" doesn't get a ticket.
