Tom Lawrence

nothing like going for a win in the last minute eh

Minds well. It's about progression. But from McCarthy's point of view - a manager who usually keeps his clean sheets - it's criminal to leave two v two in the last minute, regardless of the poor delivery.

On loan to get experience and a good player in a very very ordinary team in an average division......a long way from a premiership player but will learn a lot!

He will have preseason with the first team but jury out on whether he is a first team squad member imo!

That wasn't Lawrences' fault.

Yeah it's a shite delivery but the way Ipswich set up was shocking. Two v two in the last minute.

It's wouldn't have been 2 on 2 had it been a decent delivery,

ipswich were horrendous though,

penelties were the only way they would win that game

If Tom Lawrence was as good as the commentators on BBC made him out to be, we would have one hell of a player on our hands.

Not really a lot for them to chat about, Ipswich wise. Guess their only (positive) talking point for Mick's side was Lawrence's recent sparkling form

Poor delivery and even poorer understanding of the offside rule. He has to step up the pitch making the goalscorer offside rather than dropping deeper. Things like that would cost us time and time again in the PL

It's not that easy to play the offside trap.

Certainly not when you're a forward.

To be truthful I do actually like the look of him despite last night, in that position behind the striker he looks like he is going to do something, or is at least capable of.

He's still one of the shining stars of the Ipswich team, I'd like to see him again in our team. We do lack creativity and he is creative.

Scores against Lincoln "GET HIM BACK"

Puts poor free kick in against Lincoln "OH MY GOD HE IS SHIT"

He'd fit right in our first team considering how Albrighton and Mahrez or anybody that takes a set piece can't beat the first man.

People forget he's still a young lad. Plenty of potential there.

Cast your mind back when Ryan Giggs started him in a league game for Manchester United with James Wilson and he was superb that night.

Yes by no means the finished product but only game time will improve him.

Let him finish his loan at Ipswich and then take a better look in pre season.

He'll be playing for us against Ipswich next season if we don't buck up!
