Doesn't change the fact that he's good enough for a premier league starting place though.

So who are our wizard midfield alternatives just now bearing in mind we lost our last two Premiership games for an aggregate 6-0 and collected one Premiership point from our three games this month!

When we get thumped 3-0 without creating a chance and there are 'utter shit' comments on the post match threads I can understand it. Tonight, although not great, was not utter shit although you would have thought we'd been thrashed given some of the comments on here. If you really can't take just a little bit of joy out of a deserved late equaliser in a derby cup game then why bother following football in the first place?

Kingy's record's the best of all the midfielders in our history. His list of honours is extensive and one manager after another has chosen to pick him for all the countless players who arrived aspiring to take his place.

"Not good enough?" This period has been arguably the best since we were formed last century and has certainly been the best Leicester team I've ever seen including the Davie Gibson days.

And Kingy's played a big part in all of it.  .   .

Even Andy king must know he's shit.king has played a very small part in the last few seasons.i never want to see him picked with drink water again in a 4 man midfield,ever,ever,ever...

I have to say the BBC's coverage got right on my bristols. Long lingering shots of MacClaren on the bench or a shoot from above the stadium while the game was on. I just want to watch the match.

My poor misses didn't know what was going on as I was screaming "Get that F****** C*** off the F***** screen you F****** moron. Now! Now!! FFS!!! WTF are you doing! Get that c*** off the screen.

Chilwell was poor, benefit of doubt first half with him playing left wing. Musa, mahrez and gray on the bench yet have a left back on the wing.

That worried by what the championship side had on that wing we bottled it and set up with 2 left backs , in the hope Chilwell would offer more support to Fuchs rather than concentrate on our own play going forward.

**** me I had to drink many pints to watch that pile of shite.

Carling might have clouded my judgement but we were ****ing awful yet again.

Can we have our money back lol.

Jesus Christ!! Derby won at West Brom.

Look at the table. Where are WBA, and

where are LCFC?

Last season is over and out.

We are back to normal.

Welcome to the real world.

How much service did he get?

Not just about the service though is it? He was a disgrace, made no effort to trouble them, constantly waiting for something to happen rather than making it happen (no movement when Mahrez was looking for the ball across) and the one time we found him without him having to move he completely ****ed it up with a pathetically tame header. Genuinely the angriest I've been at a city players performance since beckford.

These baboons have let the fans and the manager down this season. The majority have been a disgrace since the first kick in pre season.

How would you react, if somebody at work would call you a baboon and a disgrace?

Would that motivate you?

Whys everyone being so negative, thought it was one of our better away displays. Not much difference between Derby / Hull / Middlesboro etc. Think a lot of our fans think we are Man U now, we are a bottom half prem team. Any away game is difficult give the boys some credit!!

Got away with it tonight but it was always going to be a difficult game with it being an FA Cup tie. Reminded me a lot of the Leicester v Man City tie when Sol Bamba scored on his debut. I expect a similar result in the reverse fixture to that which we eventually succumbed to. Consequently I won't read too much in to the performance as anything can happen in these types of fixtures.

On a separate note, what's happening to our away support?!? 5,000 in a local derby and our support was horrendous. OK results of late haven't been great but we've been outside the relegation zone virtually all season yet the never say die attitude that we had in the stands during the great escape season is non existent.

I'm in the forces mate.  Been called a lot worse. lol to be honest though if I put in as much effort as the majority of those baboons I'd deserve it.

All true. And absolutely an argument for people having some respect in terms of the way they talk about Kingy. But it's not a compelling argument for his continued appearance as a starter. Indeed to me it sound like special pleading.

When I see a proper attacking midfielder who can control the ball quickly, deliver one and two touch passes accurately, who can involve all the runners, pick out precise final balls and shoot well enough to score 10 goals a season or more he'll be considerably better than today's Andy King and I'll welcome him as loudly as the next fan.

So far I've seen nothing of the sort but I live in hope. Replacements for Kante? I wouldn't put all our midfielders together and say we had  a replacement for Kante. But I live in hope that one of our signings will surprise me or we finally sign someone of that pedigree from somewhere else.

Awful performance as per. Fact that anyone is happy with that shows how accustomed we're getting to this rubbish!

It was a typical FA cup night. On play we could of and should of won it. OKazaki is 30yrs+, he should of chipped the GK

in the 2nd half.He still plays as though his endeavour is enough, we needed more goals from him this season.

Derby were a good organised championship side, who could of knicked it.

To be honest I wish we had their 2 CBs, and Hughes would be a top squad player, for the PL his injuries has stopped

his progress, so far. What I didnt realise today he his still in his early 20s, he could still put his injury problems

behind him..

I actually didnt think we were rubbish tonight, except for the last 15 minutes we moved the ball well, but again that

Last pass to our forwards were poor.

Too many posters comparing a single season of brilliance, with our actual quality of our players having the

Long time Top audacious quality to Continue at the same level. That intensity we had, you dont keep going

for more than 2-3 seasons. It hurts that our levels have dropped, but this squad should of had an influx of

Top Quality defenders Last summer, this is the one time the owners should of pulled their weight.

They should of stood above the proud shellshocked coaching management.Always wanting to stay loyal

to their title winners.

If the defence were still strong, the rest would of held their own, the midfield Even  c without Kante Could

hold an higher line, with more space and time....We have been rubbish in manx games this year because of that,

Tonight we werent great, but it was a decent cuptie.

Absolute disgrace. The longer we keep being obsessed with this brand of hoof ball football (when there is not even a big man up top!) we'll keep getting shown up. It's frankly pathetic.

Posted

We had 62% possession tonight. Derby must be truly appalling for us to have 62% possession lol

Can't even remember the last time we had that tbh

Poor yes, dreadful no. As poor as we were Derby were not better than us,

they relied on our poor defending and poor finishing.

Unless we're playing Barcelona please can we never start a game with 3

fullbacks again.

We're playing Sevilla in a few days.

To be honest, we may as well start enjoying it a bit more and counting how many times Shinji falls over, how many touches vardy has, and how many aimless hoof's Wes takes. We can run a book on which will be higher at the end of the match!

Forget goals, lets focus on the things we're good at :scarf:

People sayin "phew" and that.. im wondering if equalising was a good thing. Cos with our team we need all the help and non distractions we can get if we dont wanna be playing them home and away again next season. Frighteningly poor.

It's more than results though, it's the kind of performances we've been putting on. We've hardly been entertaining. Or in any way committed to attack. Or even rousingly competitive.  Sometimes we wouldn't have raised a complaint in a library.  Beautiful game? It's been boring as a boat trip to Bergen much of the time.

To compare Jamie with Jermaine is...strange.

"he completely ****ed it up"

Yeah, and Gray ***ed it up and Okazaki ***ed it up.

Right?
