WHAT THE HELL HAS HAPPENED TO THIS CLUB!

I don't even know who to blame anymore, every week I hate claudio but by tuesday or wednesday I love him again, I've just seen the match of the day from the liverpool game last year, and it's like watching a different team, at one point you could have put barcelona shirts on them with a string of one touch passes we made, where has the bloody passion gone? where has the drive gone? Why can Ranieri not inspire them?

It's evidently clear this is not just rumours around the club if claudio has had to come out and say this.

Can someone please just go in and give the players a ****ing good kick up the arse? We have the best manager in our history and we are letting it all slip without so much as a fight, you're turning our club into a laughing stock between you all!

Right now I'm desperately looking for any reason for Claudio to stay, but it's becoming harder by the day, Shakey, Kasper, SOMEONE just pull it together before you send us down ffs.

What are the OWNERS doing throughout this stage show? Sitting back and watching?

I say again, the overall running of this football club looks to have become a shambles.

It's embarrassing

This is a shit situation and it's pretty clear the players have lost faith in Claudio. I'm very grateful for everything the great man has done for this club but in order to save this team and stop us becoming the next pompey/Leeds etc it's time to bring another manager in and see if they can get the squad playing again. We have the capability but need a change. This is so similar to the Chelsea situation last year, they reacted at the right time, will we?

I like the irony connection with Mourinho being the last manager Ranieri plays against for Leicester, but I think this looks like he'll have until Swansea to prove.

This is a shambolic situation the club finds itself in.

For me the only positive is, we're all talking about it now with some actual conviction and believable evidence.

Fair play to the writers on here who were talking about this in December/Jan.

Once it gets to the stage we're at now, you know something is coming.

In fairness, the media have been very respectful to Ranieri up until now, but from today's Telegraph and Guardian articles, this shows they are manoeuvring for their "Claudio to be sacked" scoop.

It's so sad, but with all this, then it really does look like its coming in the next few days, 2 weeks max.

Footballers are divs, but we love them when they do stuff like last year and hate them when they do stuff like this year, and we're not prepared to put up with any middle ground.

For me, the moment Ranieri distanced himself from buying the players and affirming his "head coach" role, this was very insightful, but from what he's saying here to Rob Dorsett, well, he's putting his defence case together.

It's very sad if this is true. The players need a long hard look at themselves. If they are confused or not about the formations, it doesn't stop you legs working to run about.

having said that Claudio does seem like he is at a bit of a loss to what to do next and once you've lost the players I don't think there is much hope in winning them over.

he does have a record of doing well for 1 season and then struggling.

When a MANAGER makes a statement like this then you know there's something not right. If we don't get a reaction in the next 3 games then it's game over. If the players aren't up for MaN,Derby and Liverpool then they won't be for the likes of Swansea.

I'm stunned and saddened by all of this. Most of all I'm sorry for us. The current employees of the club are behaving pathetically from top to bottom. From creating one of the most glorious stories in sporting history a few months ago, they're now behaving like spoilt brats. It is truly pathetic and shows massive disrespect to us, the fans who love this club.

Strong leadership is required, and the law needs to be laid down in no uncertain terms.

Very interesting read, speaks of unrest, tactic changes 2 hours before kick off, training on match days and infighting between back room staff.

If only 50% of this is true then it is very very worrying. You could see on the pitch vs Chelsea that the players didn't have a clue what to do once Huth was taken off. What a sad mess this is. I believe the owners must now step in. Relegation, apart from being depressing, would likely trigger a financial problem for the club, the departure of many players and a squad built on no foundations and quite possibly many years out of top level football.

Senior players like Huth must step up now. Unless things are sorted out relegation is a certainty.

given the negative publicity now regarding Claudio things have turned poisonous, no way out of this now....we have no antidote :(

I have no evidence but I wonder if the loose talk was to NG before Chelsea away.  in any event, it seems was only about the spirit in the camp rather than specifics re tactics, team formation.

the whole  thing is quite strange and in the end, very sad. sad for everyone at the club and most of all, for us.

we should have pushed on this year and instead we are floundering. Will be tough for them to mentally turn it around for Sevilla and suspect Derby will see our vulnerability and go for the jugular on Wednesday.  If they feared us then they would  chuck away the tie as they have bigger fish to fry with the play offs. But a last 16 tie that is winnable will be too tempting for them.

Claudio perhaps needed to be a shouter and instead his matey approach/quiet assassin has proved not to work with the players. wonder if he had a plan for this season which he felt he couldn't share with the players and they didn't trust him enough (which is odd considering what he managed to achieve last season tactically after the defeat at Arsenal).

Currently 5/2 to be the next manager to leave, only Karanka is lower odds at 5/4.

Don't really know what to think, we owe this man big time for everything he has done for the club. We are in last 16 and we finally have a league title under our belt... in a time where money talks we did it with togetherness and hard work.. a LEGITIMATE title earned and not bought. Was only a few months ago I was suggesting we should build a statue in his honour which tbh I maintain.

Would Ranieri have the credentials to make the step to DOF? Could he replace Rudkin? He's charismatic and respectful and no doubt can be tough as nails when he needs to be. Get him out the spotlight and give him something of worth which I personally feel we need to.

Of course there is the possibilty that 0% is true. Because newspaper. Just saying...

Also regarding the tactics change 2 hrs before kick off. Drew game. Won group. Just saying...

He won't resign, why do you think he was making noises about a 7 year contract?

I'm not siding with the players or Ranieri as I don't know the details but maybe they see him as someone who isn't capable of making the right decisions and is now a dinosaur. It can easily be demoralising in the work place when you know better than the boss but you still have to do things his way, it's only natural to ease of the gas a bit.

So the master tactician form last season has forgot how to do it.

Player lose form are not fit or lose pace with age or because hey don't care.

If CR goes and these start winning they should get booed off the park. They are paid to play football for the club but mainly us fans. Not to be buddies with the manager. So if our current form is down to the players not wanting to play for CR they can feck off.

Time for a few people to grow up or feck off.

Cascarino in The Times this morning has a little relegation run-in piece. On us he says 'falling like a tree with people questioning the attitude'. Concludes by saying 'loads of decent players, easily good enough to avoid relegation if they start putting the effort in.'

predicts that Sunderland, Hull and Boro will go.

Of course it could be bull. However, it comes from a decent and respected journalist who is known to have good contacts with the club. Also no smoke without fire is a phrase that springs to mind. One tiny thing or even two could probably be written off but there appears to be more than that.

Yes we drew the game and won the group but no one can deny there are problems on the pitch. We started the season Ok. Not great but not too dismal but with each passing game things are getting worse.

I wonder if he actually believes this 40pt crap.

I know if I was a player that had just won any league, if I came back to pre season and the manager comes out and says our aim is 40 points (safety) this season, I'd be wondering if he has been on crack. He strikes me as incredibly negative and not likely to light a fire in his players and ask for better. More of a buddy that will tell them they're good regardless of the truth.

It just strikes me as incredibly poor man management to not be able to garner the respect of your players, especially after last season. How last season went, it was hard for anybody to be upset so it was pretty plain sailing. This season, things haven't gone perfectly well and the club seems to be imploding in on itself. Keep your staff happy, that has to be number one.

I can't bring myself to totally blame Ranieri as people higher than him have messed up as well. However his number one job is having the players happy, motivated and wanting to run through walls for him. They're not just going to suddenly all change their opinions for no reason, so you have to wonder what he has done. My personal opinion would be that they're baffled at his incredibly negative targets and football. Who knows though.

I think the owners need to get their act together and figure out what is wrong and sort it out and sharpish. Hopefully they're already in the process of doing it. The club seems to be rotting from the inside out though and we need to cut away the dying parts.

Who else is excited for Sunday?! :D
