StriderHiryu Posted 15 March 2017 Share Posted 15 March 2017 Riyad's defensive performances in the last 3 games have been the best he's ever put in for Leicester. I think he's responded well to Shakespeare and whoever is coaching now because positionally he's improved a lot. He does still make some mistakes and could close down earlier, but the difference is noticable. Still not quite got that magic in his stride going forwards, although he was unselfish when playing in Vardy when he was entitled to have a go. Thracian Posted 15 March 2017 Share Posted 15 March 2017 Another assist, two more passes that should have been assists, added a defensive contribution without negating his specialist effect....just another hero in a team of them and that includes the manager who is so unaffected, so straightforward and so grounded it's a pleasure to listen to him. I can just imagine the aftermath - a day off then focus again on the next match, Such exciting times. I can't get over it. Onwards and upwards.... MC Prussian Posted 15 March 2017 Share Posted 15 March 2017 Finally has upped the defensive aspect of his game. Still a bit lightweight in my eyes, but deadly with the ball. I remember a moment in the first half, when he glided past his opponent seemingly effortlessly. I did not notice him as evidently as before, but that was mainly down to everybody else around him upping their game massively - he just blended in nicely.
