I actually think we are going to win the fa cup and get relegated this season its the Leicester way

Yes it has that 1969 feel about it. I know we didn't win it but the sentiment remains.

So CR is staying showing the owners have a sense of humour so let's get rid of the clappers and introduce Charlie Cairoli red noses and bicycle horns.

I'm pretty sure even they aren't so self entitled that they don't realise their hours are fcking fantastic even if they have increased and if they are they need to have a look at themselves, From the quotes it looks like it's how hard they are being made to work while they are there anyway.

Fair point. Whatever is going on. We need to fix it!

Just watched Gary Nevilles analysis of our defending against Swansea on MNF and my heart sank. I am trying to retain some optimism but we are a shambles at the back. I don't know if Claudio has a defensive coach but it is alarming to see it picked apart like this. It is also interesting to see the knock on affect our defensive positioning had on a player like Drinkwater.

Cant bring myself to call for Ranieri's head but not sure we can wriggle out of this predicament.

Unfortunately, if true, then this is the death knell for us and our season. We'll be relegated, possibly even finishing bottom if Ranieri isn't sacked/walks away.

I hate to say it, I really do. However I have no confidence whatsoever that we'll turn the season around and stop the rot. The players don't want to play for him, that much is clear. As much as that shows up the players and as unacceptable as it is, you can't sack all of them - you can sack the manager. I'm convinced we'd see an instant improvement in performances and have enough to stay up if we made a change.

This sums up the owners for me. Everyone one else can see the impending doom, why can't they?!

I'm desperately hoping that during those talks Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha said hey Claudio, don't worry, this week we will be getting you a top notch assistant with experience of managing a Premier League club in total turmoil. To make it easier for you as you clearly need a bit of a rest, he will take the training sessions, pick the team and stand in the dug out whilst  you can relax with your friends in a corporate box on match days.....too much to hope for lol

Thats the exact wording....you must be ITK.

it does make me wonder what was said after. Surely the owners and chairmen went into the dressing room

I hate this "Job for life" bollocks. Would anybody really rather see Ranieri take us down than leave?

I'd be astounded (and disappointed) if he's our manager in the Championship. Even if we somehow stay up, I don't think he'll be in charge next season.

I love the guy, but this is pathetic. If you don't think he's capable of sorting it out, he shouldn't be here. It's that simple.

It's a real shame as to how severely we've fallen, and it's a sad situation overall. I like CR and I really want him to turn it around but I just cannot see us getting out of this, I'm not seeing anything in recent matches to suggest members of the squad are suddenly going to get fully behind the manager again. I want Ranieri to turn it around, but if you do not have the full support of your players (which is what it's looking like) it then of course becomes even harder to avoid relegation. It's disheartening if certain players have led a revolt or gone against him.

To be truthful it's been weeks/months of dire results and football. The tactics and the way he's managed the team/players this season hasn't impressed which is what is so surprising after last season. It would be left on better terms if he resigned, assuming he feels he can take it no further. If he does feel he cannot take it any further with us, he'd gained even more respect from fans if he did resign because he's then being honest with himself & the club. In my opinion, it'd be better for him and everyone to a certain extent knowing he had the title of 'resigning' as opposed to 'getting sacked.' He seems to me to be the type of guy to do the former if he felt he needed to, or if it came to that.

For me, at this time we are one of two teams who look least likely to avoid the drop.

Yes. I watched it too and the little optimism I had left was drained out of me. We are the worst team in the league. Only Crystal Palace can match us in terms of shitness. Total and utterly shambles at the back. Very little creativity and zero goal threat.

We are going down with Ranieri. No two ways about it.

I'd hope you're right but am not convinced. Maybe Ranieri would do the club a favour and stay at home for a week or two if only to give CS the chance being talked about. Always assuming he'd want it of course. Even if it went wrong it surely couldn't go more wrong than the current situation. After all - any Premiership goal scored in an entire month would go down as a plus.

One of the title winning players will bring a book out when he's long retired and tell us all the truth about last season versus this. Just see.

I don't think that's what the issue is, from all that I've read last season we did a lot less training than lots of other teams (Spurs do double sessions for example all the time and I don't think you can call their coach an old timer) I imagine that Ranieri reverted a bit to his initial thoughts, that teams should train more than we did last season, he probably began that incrementally but as things got worse and the players looked more and more sloppy he probably thought they needed to train more to get sharper and more focused.

I'm sure Ranieri is doing all of those things you put in brackets and no one is suggesting his training methods are just to run about a bit hahahaha

Apparently he doesn't believe in many of the modern methods, he wanted to scrap it when he came here but Walsh and Shakespeare stopped him, no he has introduced them anyway. Spurs suffered burn out towards the end of last season, so its questionable whether that method works for a high intensity team. Maybe he doesn't want us to play high intensity but I am uncertain what style he does want us to play.

So he stays til the end of the season and takes us down, and is then sacked.

Or he, miraculously, keeps us up and oversees the worst title defence in premier league history. Either way he has tarnished the achievements of last season.

Since I can't see the latter happening, surely keeping him is mindless.  I'd be gutted if he stayed to manage us in the championship.

It's ridiculous.

Our drop in league position would have seen any other manager sacked now.

I cannot believe people defend it. We want to push on as a football club. I want to see us in the top flight. This, what seems to be, attitude of "oh well he can take us down" is truly stupid.

Nothing can tarnish the achievements of last season, not even relegation.

Who do you think we are, Man UTD?

We had no right to win the league last season, things like that don't happen to clubs like us.

Get off your high horse, we are not a 'BIG CLUB' yet. Ranieri is an absolute legend, anyone who thinks he's been bad for us is clueless.

Obviously i am as unhappy with results this year as the next fan, but stop trying to suggest he has ruined us - he has taken us to another unprecedented level

Point exactly. People would rather Claudio smiles than Leicester progress.

the mans an absolute Liability but forget Leicester and what it means. Forget going out there and actually looking like a team managed by a man who looks like he knows what he is doing. Forget signing players who are actually worth what we pay.

without a doubt, after last seasons people people who fell in love with the idea of Leicester City and Claudio Ranieri are now muddying the waters as to what is best for the club and what is best for their love interest, Ranieri.

I refuse use to believe any self respecting Leicester City fan who watched us literally shit our pants on the pitch for years under Rob Kelly and Craig Levein are happy to risk everything now  to go right back there. Just to keep Claudio happy.

**** him, he's failed! This club comes first and always will.
