Sevilla (H) Pre-Match Thread

I hope they've spent at least 1 day practising pens. All the players and Kasper too. Apparently Sevilla fans think they are doomed if the game goes to pens lol

Would give it to Albrighton or Fuchs, something tells me that they could be decent at them.

Agree on Fuchs, but based on what I have seen on Albrighton's shooting, I would need some convincing :P

Fuchs, Vardy, Mahrez, Ulloa and Slim are the only ones that would give me confidence taking pens. Mahrez is a bit iffy but usually scores them.

For me, flair-less players are always the ones that give the most confident vibe on pens ( e.g milner), they just keep it as simple as possible. " less in more" is the best why to describe how I feel about them.

I don't think mahrez should be on pen duty (at least vs Seville). Just put vardy in, he seems to have picked himself up and a power driven pen is always good.

Why? The Italian ref we had during the group stages is probably the best ref I've seen at a game.

We are about as popular as ISIS in Italy at the moment.

Rocchi was it? He was excellent.

I don't know about anyone else but I feel more excited about this game tomorrow than I have for one in ages, I can't wait!

We are the underdogs, at home, under the lights, the atmosphere is going to be amazing and I feel like we have a chance. Worst case scenario is we lose but I can honestly say I have loved every second of being in the Champions League. It is something I've wanted to experience with Leicester since I first started watching Man U, Arsenal & Liverpool in it in the early 90's.

I remembered getting laughed at only 3/4 years ago when I said that my dream would be to see Leicester play in this competition. I never thought for a second it would happen so soon but if tomorrow is our last one I will be proud to have seen us get where we are and if somehow we do go further, wow.

Let the dream continue.

It's fine. The ref, as opposed to bearing grudges against the team that just sacked an Italian Knight, will be a consummate professional...

The bottom line is tomorrow we 'can't lose'. We are underdogs which achieved a decent result in Sevilla. We win, we are probably one of the 'smallest' teams to make the Champions League quarter-finals and we get to carry this whole journey on. I pointed out to a work colleague today; there's been plenty recent examples of fairytale seasons in Europe where the likes of Verona, Montpelier, Blackburn and Kaiserslautern won their domestic leagues but none of them made an impact in European competition.

Lose and that's the normal expectation. If we get hammered, it's no worse than Arsenal flopping out or Spurs failing to reach the knockouts (then getting knocked out again).

Unfortunately not able to attend due to work away.

When not there, team normally wins so hopefully that is the same tomorrow. :fc:

Should be exciting, not anxiety-provoking, as league form has improved and we're quite comfortably safe at the moment, and players from last season should be proud of where they've took the club now.

One benefit to a monster blizzard bearing down on us in Connecticut is we're working from home tomorrow. 3:45 on my couch in my front of the TV and not slyly streaming it on my iPad at my desk pretending to work isn't a bad trade off for a miserable run of weather.

There really is nothing to lose.

Nobody thought we would stay up.

We did.

Nobody thought we would keep playing so well.

We played even better.

Nobody thought we could win the league.

We won it by 10 whole points.

Nobody thought we would do well in Europe.

We won our first three games without conceding AND won our group.

All we need to do tomorrow is turn up like we did against Liverpool, Hull and Man City and I will be proud. There will be no shame in being knocked out.

20 years ago we lost to Athletico Madrid in the worst refereeing performance I've ever seen. But that remains my possibly my favourite ever Leicester City match because I was sitting in the East Stand right next to the Kop. It was the best atmosphere I've ever experienced. Let's try and replicate that tomorrow!

I BELIEVE.

I'm coming up from Cornwall for this, can't wait! Had to go down the hospitality route to get a ticket, that alone is costing me £275 :o No way I could miss this though despite not being a fan of prawn sandwiches
