Milo Posted 16 June 2017 Posted 16 June 2017 No problem for me, this one. Think he's a decent player and would fit in well. Drinkys got no competition or back up and we saw the second half of last year that he looked out on his feet.
Wolfox Posted 16 June 2017 Posted 16 June 2017 Guessed it would be a mixed reaction on this thread…. Not given a chance at Man City, but, always struck me as a capable player…. a shrewd signing id say
dannythefox Posted 16 June 2017 Posted 16 June 2017 No way. He'll spend most of the season on the lnjury list so what's the point? That's what's cost us this year at times why would we want that again.
matty98 Posted 16 June 2017 Posted 16 June 2017 No brainer really, he's better than what we've got currently
foxes21 Posted 16 June 2017 Posted 16 June 2017 He was pretty versatile under Pellegrini - he played RW, CM & LW. Solid back up player & potentially good enough to challenge Drinkwater/Ndidi if we can keep him fit.
Fox 4 Life Posted 16 June 2017 Posted 16 June 2017 When he is fit he is a very good player but I imagine he will want big money and will he really settle for being a backup? Not convinced he will be a good fit here personality wise either. Saying that he has being called a snake in common with our players
Clever Fox Posted 16 June 2017 Posted 16 June 2017 Get him in Delph and collect on Amartey. Off load and upgrade it makes lots of sense to me.
Tuna Posted 16 June 2017 Posted 16 June 2017 Good player. I don't understand why people don't want him.

TheUltimateWinner Posted 16 June 2017 Posted 16 June 2017 Good change of thread title mods, I love the twitter links thread!
Lovejoy Posted 16 June 2017 Posted 16 June 2017 Have I really seen it suggested in this thread that we don't need Delph because of both King and James !? Christ on a bike, Delph is well ahead of those two. Could be a cracking signing and offer us flexibility in midfield.
norwichfox Posted 16 June 2017 Posted 16 June 2017 I hope the enquiry was along the lines of "have you a brother that can play better and not get injured?...". Was a very good player before going to Man City, but since he's been plagued with injury and not really made his mark as a first choice midfielder. Would prefer we had someone that can keep clear of injury.
dayday Posted 16 June 2017 Posted 16 June 2017 Would Delph still have the desire? , I'm always wary of players being bought from top clubs.

I know he was plagued early in his career, but I think his time at the Etihad has been more interrupted by being dropped' rather than on the treatment slab ! https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/fabian-delph/verletzungen/spieler/50362 You may want to reconsider your reply...25 games missed 16/17 season
sk3since03 Posted 16 June 2017 Posted 16 June 2017 Why not i say ! Must have some ability for Man City to sign him! Go for it! Sigurdsson should be priority though!
Al-aLondon-Foxile Posted 16 June 2017 Posted 16 June 2017 Can we please just leave this for actually 'twitter rumours' and not discuss. It's a great place to drop in and just see what's what and not have to trawl through all the discussion to discover the tweets. Just a thought.
Nick Posted 16 June 2017 Posted 16 June 2017 Well he's available for 12 million, he can play anywhere in midfield is ex England and will have a point to prove... Hes better than King James Mendy and Amartey in Midfield and would be competing for a place with Drinks and Ndidi... Sounds like astute business to me if we are not going to get Adrian Silva and spend upward of £30 million...

I doubt there are many premiership teams that could nearly field a full British 11? Hamer Simmo Maguire Chilwell Albrighton Drinks James King Gray Vardy (Delph)
Max Power Posted 16 June 2017 Posted 16 June 2017 If we sign another central midfielder I want someone with a bit of craft and creativity.
