Then why are plonkers posting like he's already a part  of the first 11?

lol

Because it's completely impossible to think ahead and discuss possibilities... only "plonkers" think ahead, the bloody morons.

I agree that he won't be getting a goal a game with us but I'll be surprised if he's not got 10+ league goals with 5+ league assists by the end of the season. Hopefully Vardy gets something like 15/20 league goals and we'll be fine.

Slim should do 10/5 as a substitute, so I hope he's a bit better than that.

Slimani and Ulloa don't fit our style of play.

Slimani would be a useful plan b but would he be happy sitting on the bench?

How do two target men not fit our style of pumping out from the back quite often?? (Ulloa fits our style he’s just shit)

If we only ever had players who were happy to sit on the bench, then we would have a team full of Andy Kings :o

We need a squad full of quality, not just a starting 11 and squad fillers who only make up the numbers and rarely make any meaningful impact.

Look at the big clubs and their squads full of players who would walk into the starting 11 of any teams below the top 4. I know we will never have that, but we should really now be ambitious enough to start at least heading that way and not having to accept that we can only have a good starting 11 and just "happy" squad fillers

Was unlucky yesterday not to score, good save by the keeper. He showed some good strength and worked hard throughout the game. Played a key role in our goal with the ball over the top to Musa.

If only he was on the pitch the same time as Albrighton - Slim would have been all over those crosses to the back post ?

cant understand why people say he dosent suit our style

we play a 4-4-2 with wingers who can cross a ball into the box and also balls through to a quick front man

so what do you need one quick man in vardy and someone who is good with his head and can hold a ball up

slim is probably one of the best headers of a ball in the prem and hes strong

with both those playing does this not play to both our strengths ?

He's no good at running the channels and that's how we play, if we start/bring him on it needs to be a total change of style. Albrighton is one of the best crosses of the ball in the Prem, so get Gray practicing crosses and we've got a cracking plan B

If anyone offers 25m yes take it but can't see it.

The choice is between, Leo, who is painfully slow and Slim who is just slow.

we don't need them both but you can't seriously choose Leo over Slim.

He asks far more questions of a defence even if it's a tactical change from the bench.

What do you mean by ask far more question on defence?

Reality is that Slimani isn't going to displace Vardy from the side. That means he is competing Shinji to start behind him. I was excited when we first signed him because we were told he works hard like Shinji but he absolutely doesn't, half the time he lumbers around the pitch without any of the intelligence Shinji plays with with his pressing and link up play. Once Kelechi is over the line we have someone who can play with Vardy with real pace and skill. Even when he comes off the bench he doesn't have a gung ho bastard whirlwind type effect for 30 minutes like Leo usually does.

what is gung ho bastard whirlwind type effect?

Our pre-season performances have been uninspiring, even shambolic at times, with all our fast-breaking pace, potency and ruthless finishing a distant memory, along withv the keenest of our closing down.

But for any of our strikers to perform they need accurate crosses and sustained support.

When they get that will be the time to judie them but I already question why there'should few signs of those things happening - or of the collentivery cohesion needed for any other approach to work properly.
