Ummm, they can't just relegate us for a poor pre season. We still et to play in the Prem this year.

I'm not, I just said they better get cracking or we will end up relegated.  The team looked out of place and unable to counter what the Wolves came up with.  I just am very worried.  But obviously you are correct; don't judge Pavarotti on how he sings in the shower...

why you betting on friendlies

To be fair Stan, tis the first one I've lost on a friendly in quite a few. Problem was, because of that I went bigger. And then City didn't try. Frustrating

Lots of friendlies end up btts

Before the 1990 World Cup Yugoslavia underwhelmed in their warm up matches. Their manager, when asked about his team's poor form by the media said, "You don't judge Pavarotti by how he sings in the shower. You wait until he gets on stage.".

This was the equivalent of Pavarotti hopping in the shower and fingering his bum for 90 minutes. Didn't even so much as bother singing.

I'm warming to the idea of chucking Chillwell, Gray and Lawrence all into the first team.

Looks to me like we're getting a bit old and slow and it needs a bit of youth to freshen it up a bit. I dunno. Meh

I don't usually do away games or pre season and today proved why!

9 of the 11 who won us the league for the majority of the game and we were awful. Three transfer windows and we haven't improved the quality of our team one bit.

Flash the cash and get a quality CM in now at the very least that's needed.

More creativity is a MUST.

Not only that, there is just no movement at all. We seen it at MK and against Wolves. We struggle to even pass forward becayse there is zero movement at all.

Not looking good with our first game in 13 days. Sounds a right shambles as usual.

Still no sign of ichywhat ever his name is and holes all over the pitch plus our best player wants out.

Can see shakey being gone by xmas.

We should have brought back NP or an actual manager when we had the chance.

We're absolutely shit and have no plan B.

Shakey gets minimal respect from the players.  They only played for him last season as a relief once Ranieri left.

Our transfer work has been dog shit too.

We have so much shit in this team but can't offload them and/or bring in any creativity.

So it's all drinkwater's fault

it's pre-season

we need another attacking midfielder.

Bollox.

Drinkwater was no worse than any other player out there. We start the season in 1 week and that team today were worse than our youth team. If we get another attacking midfielder that'll make 3 (including the wide men) our team will ship goals by the bucket load like early last season.

And if anyone gives the excuse for a player (Okazaki, Ulloa, Simpson, Fuchs etc...) that these are the players who won the league title 2 years ago - they can bollox too.

None of them are the same players apart from maybe Albrighton. They are useless, lazy overpaid prem players.

Simpson is rubbish yet we don't even have an RB, Fuchs is a clothes designer yet we're not playing Chilwell, Morgan is old and finished, yet we haven't bought a second new quality CB.

Drinky and Ndidi just pass the ball backwards and Ndidi gives it away more than Drinky.

Mahrez dribbles and loses it, or falls over looking for the free kick which he then wastes.

Vardy runs around and fails to finish chances

Albrighton runs around and lobs in balls ....to players who can't head them

Okazaki runs around and falls over.

Shakespeare hasn't got a clue or a pair of balls - he won 5 in a row (which was the easiest run of our campaign with mostly home matches) and then didn't win again. Wrong man, he's just a coach.

We are in the shit.

got to hope that we sign Iheanacho and that Slimani isn't injured again.

No point playing albrighton without Slim in the team and no point playing Mahrez at all. We might as well start Lawrence and Gray on the wings. CM does it really matter? I think they're all as bad or as good as each other, negative or error prone.

And the defence - Arsenal must be licking their lips.

On that performance starting lineup for Arsenal:

Kasper

Albrighton

Benalouane

Amartey

Maguire

Chilwell

Lawrence

Iborra

Gray

Vardy

Slimani

Let's hope we can get a few decent signings in and shake up an old guard who haven't played more than 5 decent games in a year.

And the prize for overreaction of the thread goes to...

Im really not at all fussed about the result, yes always nice to win and score a few but not the end of the world.

I said in an earlier post that im completely baffled as to what Shakespeare was trying to achieve today other than players getting 90 mins.....

Same players in same positions with same tactics...why?

Great opportunity today to mix the teams up more, why did we not try Lawrence today  or maybe James instead of Drinkwater or Iborra and maybe try a new system etc.

Well if we look that bad, we're 14/1 to go down on Bet365.

That's a ****ing great price and I'm very much inclined to stick £20 on it. Ta.

The major concern for me we are basically having to rely on what went before, which was approaching the 'best before date' last season.. We need a minimum of 4 'new faces' starting, as otherwise relying on the 'old guard' will be Shakey's epitaph.. Surely recruitment and Rudders have irons in the fire that will surprise us all?? If we have to replace Riyad at the death of the Window, God have mercy on us.. I cannot believe things will not happen in the next two weeks. I know it is difficult shipping out the deadwood, and we will be facing major haircuts on any departures, but 'needs must' me thinks.

PS: I so hope we do loan out Harvey Barnes. Keep him here.

Sooo poor if marhez dont create no1 does

Has Shakespeare told them to take it easy, or are they just that unfit?

We aren't even trying a high press.

Just amazes me that people still don't understand what pre season friendlies are or what they are for.

Do you really expect them to be pressing like a PL game?

Keep calm lads. Its preseason where anything from smashing a team 10 nil to losing by the same score is possible.

Keep the faith everything will be fine.

Getting the first 90 mins into the legs of the players, next Saturday will be a bigger picture of where we're at
