Wish we'd just pay the money for some ****ing creativity. Surely the management can see it?

Never mind creativity, a simple game plan would do for me. Only caught a few tidbits of this, but it seemed too reminiscent of the dreadful Ranieri period. I did notice us trying to play out from the back, which was refreshing but just as ineffective as lumping it forward. No movement, very ponderous stuff. Let's just say that Shakespeare has his hands full getting the squad mentally and tactically ready for the season...!!

The two games in 24 hours idea hasn't worked at all IMO.

Would have been better to have Luton on Monday, MK on Thursday, Wolves Sunday, Burton Wednesday and Gladbach on Saturday and to continually rotate the side.

Nevertheless, a good run around today.  If we play like that against Gladbach then i'll be worried. Today was a game with a half fit side with no subs against a fully fit and ready to go side with 10 subs.

It's not the drama that some of you faries are making it out to be though. Wouldn't want to share a trench with you lot. The white flag would be up in seconds.

There only one game ahead, its not like its our first pre season game. They are Premier league footballers back for a month now

Sad isn't it? Love the guy but last season and so far this pre-season he's been totally ineffective.

Are there any other clubs that have a potential starter that can't control, pass, shoot or stay on their feet? Bizarrely we have done so well with him. At 32 though, we should move him on with Ulloa.

Do the players and staff feel as bored as we do when we play. Ineffective boring football, there is nothing worse.

Drinkwater has lost his spark - money gone to his head or was his rise just the effects of playing alongside Ngolo?

People forget Drinkwater was brilliant without Kanye at the start of last season.

He's fallen off a cliff since last November.

Just gave up 2.5 hours of sitting by the pool in Benidorm for this!

Sorry to hear you're in Benidorm mate. Chin up, it'll soon be over.

I can only speak for myself but my disappointment comes from seemingly being beaten to every ball and lacking initiative. Can't accept it, and we shouldn't.

Our management team MADE THE CHOICE to go 4-4-2 on one of the widest pitches in the country against a team playing 3-5-2... that frightens me, it really does.

Maybe for fitness reasons? Almost as if they're playing a preseason friendly?

Total crap.  No imagination at all.  Better get moving fast or this year it's the championship league for us!

Ummm, they can't just relegate us for a poor pre season. We still et to play in the Prem this year.

I bloody love Shinji, but even I'm starting to see he's worse than useless

When I heard "Shinji could finish this" I knew instantly the opposite would happen.

I have little enthusiasm for this season and expect another drab year but I don't know how relevant these games will be. Friendlies have never been a great indicator for how well we'll do and it's probably more me being pessimistic than anything but everything at the moment smacks of mediocrity.

We were out played. I fancy wolves for a good season, they played some nice football and could tell they were further along with fitness. However we lacked creativity, only Mahrez seemed to look dangerous and if we lose him we have nothing. I know it's only preseason but so far I haven't seen anything different that will help us progress.

Worst performance so far of Pre Season, absolutely fvcking garbage especially going forward, absolutely nothing there.

Drinkwater needs competition, we can't rely on starting him in his current shit form. A number 10 is an absolute priority, no creativity whatsoever today. Iheanacho needed asap as well.

Only positive today is that some Prem sides have lost to worse opposition.

We're in desperate need of an attacking RB, granted Simpson is ok defensively but that counts for very little when the lack of technical ability from him and others constantly invites pressure onto ourselves. Chilwell has surpassed Fuchs, Drinkwater has morphed into Danny Tiatto and our lack of creativity doesn't need to be highlighted further. GET SMART!

So it's all drinkwater's fault

it's pre-season

we need another attacking midfielder.

Bollox.

Drinkwater was no worse than any other player out there. We start the season in 1 week and that team today were worse than our youth team. If we get another attacking midfielder that'll make 3 (including the wide men) our team will ship goals by the bucket load like early last season.

And if anyone gives the excuse for a player (Okazaki, Ulloa, Simpson, Fuchs etc...) that these are the players who won the league title 2 years ago - they can bollox too.

None of them are the same players apart from maybe Albrighton. They are useless, lazy overpaid prem players.

Simpson is rubbish yet we don't even have an RB, Fuchs is a clothes designer yet we're not playing Chilwell, Morgan is old and finished, yet we haven't bought a second new quality CB.

Drinky and Ndidi just pass the ball backwards and Ndidi gives it away more than Drinky.

Mahrez dribbles and loses it, or falls over looking for the free kick which he then wastes.

Vardy runs around and fails to finish chances

Albrighton runs around and lobs in balls ....to players who can't head them

Okazaki runs around and falls over.

Shakespeare hasn't got a clue or a pair of balls - he won 5 in a row (which was the easiest run of our campaign with mostly home matches) and then didn't win again. Wrong man, he's just a coach.

We are in the shit.

got to hope that we sign Iheanacho and that Slimani isn't injured again.

No point playing albrighton without Slim in the team and no point playing Mahrez at all. We might as well start Lawrence and Gray on the wings. CM does it really matter? I think they're all as bad or as good as each other, negative or error prone.

And the defence - Arsenal must be licking their lips.

On that performance starting lineup for Arsenal:

Kasper

Albrighton

Benalouane

Amartey

Maguire

Chilwell

Lawrence

Iborra

Gray

Vardy

Slimani

Let's hope we can get a few decent signings in and shake up an old guard who haven't played more than 5 decent games in a year.

Maybe, but for Christ's sake, how can they be unfit. They've only had a few weeks off since last season. It's just a bloody excuse.

Another drab year? Seriously? I think our last 'drab' season was about 7 years ago

They ended up blowing out of their arses because they had to run after Wolves players....

Im trying to convince myself that was because it was just a friendly but either way its not looking promising is it.

The league season was. Boring football, barely playing in most of the away games. We were entertaining for a spell under Shakespeare but it had been a while since we had a lack of anything enjoyable in quite a lot of games.
