Wolves pre-season friendly THIS AFTERNOON 3pm

We are not an expansive or possession based team, our game is pace and intensity.  You won't see that full throttle pre season so some people just need to calm down.

This game is nothing more than an exercise for us but I think it would be a relatively big game for an ambitious Wolves team against the recent champions.

I know it's only pre-season but only one goal, which was an own goal, against Luton, MK Dons and Wolves isn't good enough. People say the only creative player we have is Mahrez which to some extent I would agree with as he can make something out of nothing. However, the lack of moment from the strikers today was terrible, just standing there waiting for the ball to come to then, not running into space which the likes of Vardy is known for. Let's just hope they're not playing at full capacity due to it being pre-season.

Not been keeping up with the game but looking on here it looks like posters are hanging ropes on rafters after a pre-season friendly. Think some of you lot need to go down pub for an hour or two like

Just amazes me that people still don't understand what pre season friendlies are or what they are for.

Do you really expect them to be pressing like a PL game?

No, but I expect them to string a few passes together or put a few balls through to some one running on to it. All I saw today was a bunch of ponderous players bereft of control,  skill or ideas. The tactics were 3 years old and even a championship team knew how to control us. They had 3 centre backs and we were trying to float balls into a couple of midgets for christs sake, and even for the few moments we did up the pace a bit, we never looked in control. I can't honestly see what was achieved by that game apart from giving the players a run out. It's supposed to be a pre season friendly to test out new ideas or new formations, what single new thing did we see. Naff all

A full strength West Brom lost to Bristol Rovers today so lets not worry too much about the result

So that's us, West Brom and one other going down then...;)

I'm not, I just said they better get cracking or we will end up relegated.  The team looked out of place and unable to counter what the Wolves came up with.  I just am very worried.  But obviously you are correct; don't judge Pavarotti on how he sings in the shower...

Have you ever showered with Pavarotti? I have. Not much space but the singing is even better due to the acoustics.

For us to score goals it takes Vardy gettin service and Vardy having confidence. Likewise Mahrez. The rest of the team provide very little in terms of goals, Fuchs and Albrighton do get some crosses in but it requires us to make some innovative attacks which were becoming fewer in the past season.

Our defence is getting older and older and we've changed very little. Morgan has always struggled without Huth and I think Maguire will be a great signing but we badly need someone in alongside him and a new right back for competition.

I'm convinced quite drastic changes need to be made to this squad, we're caught in no man's land between trying to replicate what we know we're good at and trying to progress. I don't think we can do it and I'm not sure Shakespeare is experienced enough to be brave and rip it up and rebuild.

We're still 3-4 new players off being a top 8 team.

We should have brought back NP or an actual manager when we had the chance.

We're absolutely shit and have no plan B.

Shakey gets minimal respect from the players.  They only played for him last season as a relief once Ranieri left.

Our transfer work has been dog shit too.

We have so much shit in this team but can't offload them and/or bring in any creativity.

NP also did the same and had no plan b

My opinion is that it was a lazy performance, We had a total lack of movement off the ball which could be down to us only putting in 50% but that does show a lack of respect for Shakey where I'm sure puts pressure on him, I would have thought even pre-season results matter.

I think there are some players which really need moving on though, I hope we're not keeping hold of them so as not to upset the rest of the team, we need to move on for 15/16.

I know its only a friendly, but you'd hope that we could at least fashion a few chances. Wolves completely outplayed us and should be disappointed to not finish the game with a few more goals. I'm not bothered about losing its just the complete lack of any creativity which has annoyed me.

Having been to both games this weekend I was feeling a bit annoyed, but you're right, we won't play full tilt. I am concerned though at the way Wolves overran us, we made them look like Barca at times.

Its an excellent finish no doubt, but I have to wonder where exactly our midfield was there. You just completely waltzed down the other end of the pitch without even a challenge.

Non existent midfielder shocker.

As I mentioned in the match thread yesterday, why take Musa to MK Don's and let him watch from the bench, and then not bother to name him in the squad today. I don't even rate him but it's decisions like this that suggest management is clueless when Ulloa is getting 90 and apparently a new contract, add to the fact as a club we appear to not even look for signing another rb or number 10 that will see us down.

They looked like they had never played together, had about 30 per cent possession  again.... Not panicking yet, may be a blessing in disguise, might make them get some transfer business done sooner rather than later.....
