I was always just relieved whenever my dad said that. Disappointed meant no bollocking. Winner :scarf:

Really?  It was the insidious nature of the word that crept into your soul and festered there.

You were obviously never on the end of one of my dad's bollockings. They were epic. Him being simply disappointed was a victory!

Doesn't he have 3-4 years left on his contract? There's a very good reason we're playing hardball with Chelsea here.

He's not been at his best for the past 6 months, but he's been injured for a while now, and he's the best player we have for dictating play. Really hope he stays and gets his head down again.

Drinkwater controls the midfield for us. He's very good at keeping possession for us and being there to pick up the passes from defence and does some vital defensive work. When Drinkwater plays well, the whole team plays well. He's a vital cog in our machine.

We will see just how vital he is when Ruddders sells him off.

Yep. IF he goes, we'll miss him a lot.

If him and Mahrez were to stay, I can't see them staying beyond Jan. We need to pick up as many points as we can while they are still here to drag us away from the relegation zone, Without those 2, I think we're bottom 5 material.

Whether the transfer request was this morning or last month it really makes no difference either way. They still have to meet our valuation

In the PL.

Was second choice to James prior to him getting injured.

Looked good with Cambiasso in the great escape.

Looked great with Kante in the league winning side.

Last season without the quality alongside him looked meh.

Honestly I would take the money.

If, as was suggested by Matt Law, the transfer request went in some time ago, WHY haven't we lined up a replacement for DD.

Not disappointed by the player wanting to go to a bigger club, but ****ing AMAZED that our recruitment team have not identified AND pursued his successor.

CUE for Albert to tell us how competent our DoF and his recruitment team are, how hard they are working behind the scenes, and all those deals that are about to be done.

SHAMBOLIC from the club, good luck to DD and thanks..................if you go.

Adrien Silva, Carvalho, Delph, Krychowiak, N'Zonzi...

There are replacements out there IF they want to come and we stump up the cash.

Losing Mahrez is more of a concern for me as I think we would have to sign 2 players to replace his creativity. ACM and a Winger.

How do you know we haven't been or are not pursuing identified targets?

I am also in the take the money group as I think he needs someone great next to him to look great.

What will be will be.

You can line them up, but until we get a bid that's worth accepting hat do you expect us to do? That acceptable bid might never arrive, so going out and signing another player that could end up a waste of money is also a risk.

Fair enough. Perhaps you haven't spent your whole life as a disappointment. Sort of why I started supporting Leicester - I could relate to them.

Media driven hype. Chelsea unwilling to match our evaluation! there's a contradiction in terms. One minute drinkwater's signing a 5 year deal, next, allegedly, he's put a transfer request in before  that deal. This is all about sky wanting big television on deadline day.

The fact of the matter is that we're not a big/desirable club to play for compared to the usual top 5/6. Despite winning the league, we’re a stepping stone club and unfortunately not even money can be used as leverage to keep a player in the long term.

When I read Silva there I instantly thought David and wondered what you were on. That is some optimism and I would respect you for it.

My budgerigar would look great playing in midfield alongside Kante.

Don't think we can afford to wait any longer for that to happen again!
